Doesn't matter, people are thirsting for blood. It's pitiful.
Did someone say...blood?

I can't either

I can't either - but I do think that Haynesworth is not playing as well as he can because he's not in as good a shape as he said he would be
I'm sure that none of the other DL are in great shape either at this time BUT they were here for OTAs and they have made every effort to be able to play
the fat slob is just a little behind (actually it's a lot of behind)

and do any of the other D-lineman make half the money Haynesworth makes?
If you added up all the salaries of the D-lineman on the team would you equal the money Hayneworth's been paid so far?
I think it is reasonable to expect more performace from Haynesworth every play, every week, every season. I think the only reason Shanahan hasn't cut him is the hope that he will play at least good enough that some other team will trade something decent for him.

You say the other D-linemen aren't in great shape but were here.... what were they doing while they were here if they weren't getting in shape?
SkinsJock wrote:just to clarify - I think the linemen that attended OTAs are in pretty good shape but, this being the first game they are not in "great" shape yet
SkinsJock wrote:I think that Shanahan feels that Haynesworth's conditioning is behind the other linemen here because he did not attend OTAs AND he did not arrive in anywhere close to the type of condition he said he would be in

What Jock is saying seems pretty obvious. AH isn't where AH should be if he just cared. He wasn't injured, he isn't a role player and he is an order of magnitude better paid then guys you're comparing him to. He played a third of the plays and it's because of his own choices. Collinsworth was talking about how all players run down in their first game because they aren't used to it. But he played in...one....third...of the plays. One out of three. And it's not because he was being "punished" it's because that's what he was in condition to play. Jock was being pretty clear. If you disagree, address it directly, don't just not get what he's pretty obviously saying.
“We had most of our linemen play between 15 and 30 plays, and we rotated six of them,” Shanahan said. “Talking about Albert, Albert played hard. He’s getting more comfortable in the 3-4 scheme and every time he takes a rep, you hope he keeps getting better and better, but he did play hard.”
When the Redskins host the Texans on Sunday, defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth could be deactivated, according to Jay Glazer of FOX.

He went into the locker room and threw a tantrum. There's more to the story, but the reporter did not want to go public with it yet until confirming with a couple players. I think this may be it.
We need to get rid of this guy. Put him on IR for god's sake

Big Baby Al aside, this makes me giggle. Structure? What kind of structure are you talking about? You mean a team with a good offense? No, our defense last year wasn't good enough, so now we have the worst in the league. A good offense.? No, a historically bad 3rd down offense, and a team that doesn't score. How about a competitive team? No, we're not even that.
I was a big supporter once, but I can't for the life of me see as this season has gone on, what he has done to help the Redskins out?
chiefhog44 wrote:Big supporter once? You make it sounds like that was eon's ago. What, your view has changed from two months ago? Talk about short sighted. Shannahan hasn't even been here for a full season. Ah whatever. I don't care to tell you the truth. If you don't support him anymore, that's fine by me. Let's get another coach in here this offseason, and blow it up again.![]()
I guess I believe, as most football people do, that Shanny and Bruce are the right people and they need time. I guess I want this to work, because I think this may be the last stop for me, and I'm guessing for many other fans as well.
