And then the fans come on here for another 3 pages of pointless bashing of a man's character. Nobody is perfect but AFTER ALL OF THE INACCURATE reporting from the past month, why do people still believe it? Why do you come on here and rip the guy for things he isn't guilty of? Why rip your team and a player on the team for that? That's why people get labeled as being negative. I'm all for keeping things in perspective and honest. Call it how you see it. But what you're seeing is fabricated, WAKE UP!!!!! This is like the 20th time.

While his effort when he was in there may have been fine, he didn't start and played less then other starters for one reason, he's not ready to. And that part's on him because of his pathetic off season. That there were rumors about his being inactive or being shopped aren't credible doesn't change that.

FIRST he tried giving him money
SECOND he tried giving him a stupid test that IF Haynesworth had done what he said he would do (and come into camp in better shape than if he'd been here for OTAs) he would have 'passed' easily
LASTLY the guy's made very little effort to get ready to play

I'm sorry if some here think that this fat tub is not being given a fair shake - last night I saw what looked like a player that was not really into it - SO that's my opinion of him - this guy's a big fat slob that should be made out to be the loser that he is

he's the one that has not done the right thing by these new guys and he deserves everything he gets as far as I'm concerned

I hope they make the rest of his hopefully limited stay here miserable - he deserves it

Well said. His performance last night was undistinguished. He certainly wasn't the force I would expect. No rumor there. This opinion is based on what I saw, in a real game. As far as I'm concerned, he has failed to meet expectations. I don't need the press to tell me that. And far as Shannys comment. All I hear is he said he played hard. Did he actually say he played well?

I totally agree that I'm just very disapointed because I thought (and posted here) that this guy would come in here and help Haslett and this defense

you're exactly right though - I'm more frustrated than really pissed at him

we could be so much better with him playing here OR we could have added a player in a trade OR anything

this is just V frustrating because I think these players and coaches can give us all something really close and ....

A player just recently said that the dude goes into a trance during the game. They said he's super intense. He looked perfectly fine during an interview after the game.

I must say I haven't examined AH's play last night in detail, but I didn't see anything particular impressive. Given his pre-season attitude and pay check, I'd expect something truly convincing, like Portis blocking or Orakpo rushing the QB. I didn't see it, and I don't think it's wrong for the fans to call him on that.

If Shanahan is really happy with the effort he put in last night, maybe it IS the wrong position for him, and they'll try to coach him into it or utilize him differently. A big part of the frustration is no doubt the attitude without backing it up on the field.

This is on AH, had he been at the OTA he wouldn't even had to take the test, players that did attend made sure they took part in enough OTAs that they wouldn't have to take the test, because they knew it wasn't going to be easy to pass even if they were here for most of the OTAs

He showed up lighter than he's every been so he did do something to prepare. Can you honestly think not eating like a pig wasn't a sacrifice for him

Why is that so far from the truth

After the game, Haynesworth said he would "get used to" playing at nose tackle and that he was trying to adjust to his sporadic playing time.

"That's just the situation that we're in right now," Haynesworth said. "But I'm just happy that we beat Dallas."

There was room for Tony Homo to step up in the pocket and throw the ball somewhere else probably to a player in a burgundy jersey considering Rak wasn't the only one applying pressure on that play but we can't assume that Rak would have gotten a sack on the last play of the game when he didn't have one all game. We can assume whatever we want but my whole point has been the press is running with assumptions and printing them as facts, I've always considered THners better than that even with all the non=sense being reported.

My beef is only with the media and in no way do I defend AH or think think Shanny is wrong in his handling of the situation. Just like Shanny I took Albert at his word before he received his $21 mil bonus, he lied and lies have repercussions that he has to deal with. The media is lying and it appears there is no repercussions for doing so. I understand how fans feel but it's not cool throw stuff on the wall just to see what sticks and that's what Jason Reid and JLC are doing. What's worse is I truly believe that they are each other's source, so where does that leave a fan just looking to be kept up to date about their favorite team. We are at their mercy.
