Shanahan v. Dallas
Mike Shanahan replaced Wade Phillips to become the head coach of the Denver Broncos in 1995. From 1995 to 2008 the Broncos played the Cowboys four times in the regular season:
1995: L : Broncos 21 - Cowboys 31
1998: W: Broncos 42 - Cowboys 23
2001: W: Broncos 26 - Cowboys 24
2005: W: Broncos 24 - Cowboys 21
Record 3-1
In Mike Shanahan's last 2 years as the head coach of the Broncos, the Broncos and the Cowboys (Wade Phillips) had inter-squad practices before the preseason. They also had preseason games against each other in those two years:
2007: L: Broncos 20 - Cowboys 31
2008: W: Broncos 23 - Cowboys 13
Mike Shanahan not only is very familiar with the Cowboys but he knows the coaching of Wade Philips very well.
Advantage: Mike Shanahan

I kind of liked the Hip hip hooray. I never held that against Zorn.
Meh, he stole it from George Allen anyways...

I think coaches who are conservative or Republican are more likely to be successful at the NFL level and a liberal or Democrat leaning coach is more likely to be a good Fantasy football coach
well at least that makes more sense than looking at Shanahan's record against Phillips as a likely scenario for predicting this first game

I'd like to see Bruce Allen lead that cheer after we win that game.
