Sleepless in Seattle ?????

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Sleepless in Seattle ?????

Post by 1niksder »

First they failed to trade TJ and will more than likely pay him more than the team that will sign him... Now this:

Adam_Schefter
Seattle OL coach Alex Gibbs, an all-time great assistant coach, abruptly resigned a week before Seahawks opening game. More at ESPN.com. less than a minute ago via ÜberTwitter

I'm hearing he quit right after he read this headline:
Eagles ship Stacy Andrews to Seattle

Stacy is not a zone blocking guard and Gibbs was against the trade.

Seems a relatively small thing to quit over as an assistant.

# mortreport

The Andrews deal did not clear 6 deadline so they cut Max Jean-Gilles, say the Eagles will re-sign tomorrow. half a minute ago via TweetDeck

# SI_RossTucker

Stacy Andrews is not an Alex Gibbs type of guy or good fit for zone blocking scheme. Guessing that is part of reason for resignation. less than a minute ago via OpenBeak
