My guess is that:
Byron Westbrook
Bobby Wade
Roydell Williams
Shay Hodge
Willie Parker
Erik Cook
Edwin Williams
Will Montgomery
Anderson Russell
Justin Tryon
Curtis Gatewood
will be among the cuts with a few shockrs in there too.
I went on record sayiing that I was a fan of Doug Dutch making the team. That was me playing GM. I thought that his skills made him a viable Free Safety reserve as he was a bigger, rangy corner . Apparently Baltimore saw something too..and right now, I'm not all that gung-ho about having a Strong Safety (Doughty) playing Free.
Witten all day on him will be a headache.

Tweets, 106.7, PFT and ESPN 980. It's our only options considering Shanny locked out the press at the last minute.

Yes .. I would agree that those two were the most logical competitors for the last WR spot. Though I am somewhat surprised, as Austin looked to be very impressive, quick, with good hands.
But .... there is also the possibility the the Redskins may be working a deal for Houshmandzadeh ... which would be a very smart move to add a quality experienced WR.

The Austin cut is very surprising. Could mean Bobby Wade made the team. Could also mean they are deep in negotiations with the Chargers and are making room for a trade. After all his fumbles, it is tough to see Banks making the team, but maybe.
With the Cardinals reaching the Super Bowl, is Dan Snyder officially the worst owner in the league?
How could we have cut Tryon? ESPN lists him as being more talented than Hall.
On a side note, if you ever want to get a laugh, see how low Scouts Inc. rates our corners, what did we have... the 8th best pass defense last year? It's ridiculous. And like I said they have Hall well below roger and below Tryon.

Or maybe they think Austin will clear waivers, where Banks would not.

I think all the signs are pointing to Banks making the team ... so I guess the thinking is we can't load the spot with rookies .... Banks will make it as a ST player, rather than a WR.
So that leaves either 4 or 5 spots depending on how many the choose to keep ....
Repeat after me Houshmandzadeh, Houshmandzadeh, Houshmandzadeh ... this is without a doubt in my mind THE best available option at WR. Jackson, aside from not being eligible for the first 6 games ... along with one more strike and he's OUT, is too much of a risk, with little reward this year .... and he's going to want $$$$ and the Chargers are going to want compensation.
I'm really going to be disappointed with the Skins if they don't at least make a valiant effort to grab TJ.

That's a good read too .... I think someone would definitely grab Banks off waivers ...
This kid could become a real weapon if they could figure out how to put a handle on the ball for him.
Can you see this kid running that bubble screen we like to use Moss for? I mean this kid is slippery and fast.

Me too... the problem is, if they try, and fail, how will you know? They'll never say.
