Actually, if you watch it, the second time he runs it, he comes in at 76 seconds. Which would have failed.

Of course, he's also 47 years old...

Yeah, but his numb skull radio partner was calling out a time three seconds off the pace and Golic was pacing to it. He could have made the 73 seconds if he knew the correct pace.

So, yes he technically failed the second run and I question if he was getting all the way back at each turn (he looked a foot or two short on each near side turn around), but I have no doubt if he went to Ashburn and ran it with a competent stopwatch operator, he would pass what Big Al has failed.

And as you pointed out, he's 47 and hasn't been a professional athlete for 16 years (and was never close to Mount St. Hayneswort's talent level)

Doesn't Fat Alby have to touch the line everytime he turns? If thats the case Golic wouldn't have made it either. Golic was definately coming up short each time he turned, and I don't think he made the first one in under 70 either. Of course this doesn't really take away from the fact that a payed NFL athlete should be able to pass this test with ease.

You are correct he made the first one in 70.15 secs, but again I go back to the fact that Greenie was there screwing him up.

Yes, if he ran it at Redskins park he would have to touch the line every time, but he also wouldn't have a metrosexual running the stopwatch giving him incorrect times. He would pass it.

Of course I can't prove that, but what it did prove was that a 47 year old Ex-DL can run the test better than Big Al.

LOL

Better yet, 47-year old Mike Golic-who hasn't played football in nearly 20 years- passed this test on his lunch break. Well barely, but still.

Timed or not makes no difference - media types and players who are past their 'time' have all 'passed' the test
Fat Al Haynesworth just cannot seem to get through this damned thing ... no worries, I'm sure there's a time limit

Haynesworth is being showed up - big time :D

fat Albert - what a waste

Any news today? Has he finally decided to take it?

Don't tell me that running the damn thing twice has legitimately immobilized him for a week. That would make me pretty nervous about Haynesworth's prospects for spending more than 60% of this year on the field.

I am not sure if he tried to run or not, but he is not practicing today.

From what I heard, Haynesworth's knee is still the reason he cannot do the test

He is not practicing today

I really hope he is not using this "sore" knee as an excuse at this point to try and show up Shanahan in this little soap opera they have going on.

If his knee really is keeping him from taking the test that is still sad and not promising for this upcoming season...the fact that he couldnt handle 2 trys at a conditioning test without sidelining himself for almost a week now is not encouraging and only bolsters Shanahan's stance against him

BUT im hoping at this point whenever his knee is feeling well enough to go that they just get him out on the practice field with his teammates and let the man get some live reps and learn his role in the D..

they can put him with the 3rd stringers if they still are adamant on punishing him for his actions this offseason which I get but we need to move on from this never ending saga over whether he will pass the test My 2 cents

Vet, LoL, you of all peeps should know that not taking it because of a "profile" is the same as failing it. LoL, I find it hilarious that a retired guy, 16 yrs removed came even remotely close, better yet "passed" the darn test!

What was great about camp today was Haynesworth had to watch practice and when all the other players got to take a break and go into the air conditioning he had to push the sled with Ray Wright. Great.

And just to add, after going to TC last year: WOW what a difference! The intensity, the drills, the organization, everything is more professional. Shanahan's TC shows how much of a joke Zorn was. And the head coach actually walked around the field and watched all players instead of standing with the QB's the whole time and throwing pads around.

It's actually kind of sad. I remember watching that first press conference with Shanahan and Allen and coming away so impressed at how professional they seemed by comparison to Zorn and Cerrato.

The next day I realized I shouldn't have been impressed by professionalism; I should actually have expected it...

I don't really think that Haynesworth is "using" anything as an excuse - I really do think he would do the 'test' as soon as he felt that he could get through it - he's just not in the shape he thought he would be and this 'test' is not that easy for a guy his size to complete

he made an ill informed decision to not participate in OTAs - I cannot stand this fat ass BUT IMHO he's really not trying to use an excuse here - he's just not in good enough shape
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

I wasn't part of the dimwits that thought 100% of profiles= losers, so no, we really don't see eye to eye with this. Talk to the guys who retired after 25 yeards and got checked out whenever they had an ailment and the guys who 'sucked it up.' I bet I know which guys are more likely to be mobile at 60...

I thought we were talking about not taking the test = failing, whatever the reason. This is the military way, if you don't take your PT test, piss test, any other test, for whatever reason, it is the same as failing it. Flags go up in your file, you get held up on awards, promotions etc. We are not talking about reasons about profiles here. LoL now I know "back in the day" walking wounded was the norm, etc, I'm not questioning that. I'm simply pointing out, if one does not take the test, it is the same as failing.

Not necessarilyin the military I was in, but if you wish to further discuss it, we need to split the topic. This is becoming off topic.

As for Haynesworth, regardless of the current BS, he'll be there when it counts.
