Good vibes from media...?
Did anyone else catch NFLnet a few days ago? When asked who would take the NFC East this season, Baldinger said the Skins would do well and Marshall picked the Skins to take it. Really Marshall....? Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Are we lookin like the Beast of the East? Way too soon to tell.
Are people coming out of the woodwork to root for the Skins? OH YEAH..!!!

As opposed to Chris Carter who when asked "Who had the worst offseason in the NFC? (not NFC East, the whole NFC) picked the Skins. Hes got some sort of spite or something against us always has even when he was on that HBO NFL show. Douche...probably because he still isnt in the HoF and Monk beat him out his first year of eligibility....haha douche!

I always get a kick out of how Chris Carter cannot talk without using his hands to explain everything.

Yeah...it was Sapp not Baldy....my bad. Baldy loves the eagles but said some ok things about Skins and McNabb.
Baldy is a regular host on a sports talk show here in Philadelphia, and he hasn't been complimentary about McNabb now that he's gone. Things like "flawed quarterback" and how Reid had to limit the offense to fit him, intimating he was not the brightest QB out there. Last time I heard him talk, he actually was discussing how he thought the Eagles' offense would be more open and better under Kolb...as if you can so easily replace the best QB in that franchise's history.
I agree Pulp - I think that in reality the Eagles are looking to the future and felt that it would be better to get Kolb into gear sooner rather than later and they were not able to get a better deal than what they got from the Redskins
Big mistake IMO as I think that this will actually motivate McNabb a little more and moving him within the division is just plain dumb
I really think that we are better off now by having a QB like McNabb in place - the Eagles might be better of in the future but that's not as much of a known factor

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Honestly, whenever he is on I change the station. He filled in for Mike Missinelli last week and I could not listen. He is an oaf - I think he tries to be like John Madden but with an edge. He is such a homer with the Eagels I cannot take anything he says seriousely. He could tell me the sky is blue and the sun is yellow and I would not agree he is that bad.

I dunno...
I've always had this soft spot for oafs... I had a Lab mix with a massive Charles Barkley type butt, who was a complete oaf... in a clumsy and dumb-dog kind of way... (dog had the biggest back side in canine history)
I loved her anyway...
Surely, there must be someone who loves Baldinger in the same... dumb and clumsy pet dog kind of way...
maybe "Animal Cops Philly"????

That entire station lineup is annoying as hell. But it amuses me to hear how dumb the vast majority of people calling into that station are, so I still listen...

Both played the majority of their careers outside of Philadelphia. They had Van Brocklin for the final 3 seasons of his career; he made his career in the first 9 seasons with the Rams. Rams QB, in reality. Same thing with Jurgenson; he only started 41 games for the Eagles, and made his career in DC (108 starts).

It'd be kinda like saying Vince Lombardi was the best Redskins coach...

I think we have a good chance to win the East, but it isn't the best chance. To be truthful, the Cowboys have to be the favorites. However, they have ways of f-ing things up. If we can manage to NOT f- things up, we can take this division. At the least, we should be able to make the playoffs. I really admire McNAbb and I think he is going to help the whole team gain that confidence and swagger that has been missing.

We can win the NFC East if we get lucky
I'm looking forward to winning the NFC East because we are the best team in the NFC East
get real guys - we are not winning the NFC East this year because we are the best team but, we could get lucky
we are not winning the Super Bowl this year, either ... but we could get lucky
do you guys want to be 'lucky' like the Giants were OR do you want to be the best team in the NFL -that is what it's really all about

Please! Are you telling me you would think less of a SB victory, because you didn't think we were really the best team? Seriously? Can you hedge your bets any more?

I don't give a damn if it's an act of God, lucky, or the most dominating (off or de)fense in history. The 4th trophy would lookin slammin hot in our case. Shanny and Gibbs' names on the plates. It would also, to me, signify that Danny is learning. With him being possibly the owner for hte next 30+ years, is the most important thing for our storied franchise.

...any given Sunday....

I'd love to win a 4th Super Bowl - I'm not against winning every game because we are lucky, I'm just saying, I'd rather win every game because we are better than the team we play that day
I could care less what some here think I am "saying' in my posts - they just want to look at things that way, that's their perogative
I want the Redskins to be a better football team than they have been since Snyder took over and I believe these guys will get us there - just not happening as quickly as some guys here think - and I think they don't like the way I point that fact out

no! that's not what I mean't and you know better

I want to win every game - I just want the team to be consistently competitive because they are better - we are on the right track but there is no way, with the players we have right now and our depth that we can go from what we saw last year to being consistently competitive this season
I'm encouraged at the amount of progress but there are still a lot of issues this group has to overcome and I believe it will take this season and hopefully a great offseason of pick-ups, trades and draft picks for us to get close to having a consistently competitive product on the field each week
I do believe that we'll see a much improved attitude though and that counts for a lot as well

This is where we differ. I think we absolutely can be consistently competitive this season. I think we will compete for the division title, which would mean playoffs, and then who knows?
