Brown started by discussing where he wanted to play, where he could play, and where he expected to play.
"I still consider myself a left tackle," he said. "For the last four years I played with the Saints, I made the Pro Bowl at left tackle, but I'm coming in to do what the Redskins want me to do, and that's play right tackle. But I can play both sides. And that's where, if you wanna win the game, it starts up front. It starts up there with the O-line, the Hogs, being physical and being nasty. And that's what I'm gonna bring to the table, and that's how you win games."
Arrington caught the key word there and asked, "So you gonna be a Hog, Jammal?"
"I've always been a Hog, man," Brown said. "It's time to get in there, get physical, that's just my style of play."
Which is, let's be honest, an awesome thing to hear.

Wow looky there...a person who just wants to play football! Hello AH, this guy was a pro bowler too and he just wants to get in there and punch someone in the mouth. About time we are brining in guys who just want to play football no matter how they get on the field.
Love to hear it. In the past we have heard talk like this and have gotten little results back. This time I feel we will actually get some good results and some walk to the talk. Especially since Brown was actually a Pro Bowler not to long ago.
I think this line if they gel can become one of the best in the league. The talent is now there. Trent Williams/Jammal Brown LT, Derrick Dockery/Rinehart LG, Rabach/? C, Artis Hicks/? RG, Jamal Brown/Trent Williams RT.
The starters are of good quality. Not bad for one year. I would argue no team in recent memory has ever completely made over there offensive line like we have. I am seeing the glass half full but I could see this line becoming one of the best in the league. I think the addition of one more road grading guard or center can make this line special.
Not to burst any bubbles but Fat Al (as someone called him on another thread) said great stuff at his welcoming in party too. I want to be optimistic too about Brown's mental state because he moved from LT to RT. It ain't what he says now, it's what he says one year from now after he gets his huge pay day!
I would have put Brown at LT, he's been a Pro Browler before and it protects McNabb's blindside...as Brown gets a little older, swap them. This also ensures peace as Trent understands Brown has done it before, at a very high level, and it's possible Trent looks up to him as an ex-Sooner.
I also understand why the coaches decided to do what they did. These are decisions that make or break coaches.
I don't even feel the slightest bit like this is posturing for the fans, the guy legitimately wants to play and be a hog.
I feel like we're strong at tackle now, Rabach and Dockery are pretty good and maybe Williams or Hicks can hold it down at the other guard slot. This position could be going from a weakness to a strength.

If it is not working, they can always switch spots. It will be easier to put Trent on the right and Jammal on the left in a pinch than vice versa.
Didn't the Giants do this a few years back? I beleive they had a few injuries and kind of a no name line. They just moved guys around until the meshed well. Snee and Deihl, those dudes.
