Mark Brunell to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy
Mark Brunell has made $52m in his career and still filed for bankruptcy. I don't know whether to feel bad for him or what. That's a lot of money to burn thru in 10 yrs.
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

$52 million is just his contract number. Add endorsements to that and I bet it tops $60 or even $70 million.
However, it's not a personal thing so much as a business decision. Looks like another example of sports stars thinking that their success in one area would easily translate to another. Brunell starts a real estate firm with a couple of former teammates . . . and flops.
I doubt he's going to be hurting when it comes to day-to-day life, though. For the life of me I don't know why these people don't just entrust their money with professionals and live off of the interest — I know I'd be happy with 3-6% of $50 million annually, instead of trying to hit it big with my cousin's startup mouthguard company.
