Mark Brunell to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Mark Brunell to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Post by VetSkinsFan »

Mark Brunell has made $52m in his career and still filed for bankruptcy. I don't know whether to feel bad for him or what. That's a lot of money to burn thru in 10 yrs.
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

GSPODS:
The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

$52 million is just his contract number. Add endorsements to that and I bet it tops $60 or even $70 million.

However, it's not a personal thing so much as a business decision. Looks like another example of sports stars thinking that their success in one area would easily translate to another. Brunell starts a real estate firm with a couple of former teammates . . . and flops.

I doubt he's going to be hurting when it comes to day-to-day life, though. For the life of me I don't know why these people don't just entrust their money with professionals and live off of the interest — I know I'd be happy with 3-6% of $50 million annually, instead of trying to hit it big with my cousin's startup mouthguard company. :)
