They split him out as a WR on many plays and he made some great catches, including an ESPN Play of the Week TD catch against 1st round pick CB Kyle Wilson. The guy can block, he can run routes, knows how to find the soft spot in the zone and can go up and make a catch. I am really excited about this guys prospects if he comes to campy hungry for a job.

If I was a CB and watched this big dude wreck peeps on his blocks, I'd stay away from him too hehee.

He's still on roster. Probably will be at least through preseason.

Don't worry bout it Tribe, he'll be here on ST for sure and I see him in the future replacing Sellars. So it'll be Cooley, Davis and probably him at certain times as another TE (if needed). How cool is that though, "as needed" because the dude is gifted at different positions.

I agree. When you look at fringe players who need to earn a roster spot, special teams is the first big question. And this guy, with his skills should be a special teams ace. The next big question for fringe players is how they could be useful in a few packages. Since D-Mo is tweener TE/FB/H-back, I bet the Shanahans might find out that they could sneak him into to a couple offensive sets where you need a pass catching FB/H-back who can sneak into the end zone a few times and still lead block from the same spot. He might become a coaches favorite if he works hard.

I'm a big Sellers fan.....

But this guy might be his long term replacement in a year or two. Dude actually is quite a beast, like the thread title states.

Seems really smart on the field, strong, and has good hands.

We'll seeee....

I was just reading this and thinking I should check this guys stats out, because Sellars is a big time fumbler when he gets the ball. So I checked out his stat sheet for fumbles and this is what I found...He only had the ball 77 times in his college career, but he never fumbled. That's not a lot of carries/receptions but it looks like the dude is a real threat down by the endzone, and he doesn't spit the ball out every time he gets hit.

Yup, I agree with all you guys.. I'm sooo looking forward to him getting an opportunity to shine. I'm not expecting him to shine much since we have 2 stud TEs already but he'll definitely get his shine on. LOL
