If you're the type who cares about the team's uniform, Allen did address the team's intentions for this season. Sort of. Allen said he was in his office and "looking at a beautiful pair of gold pants."
But he wouldn't directly say that the team would be wearing those gold pants at home this season.
"I'm very proud of our team colors and you will see our team colors on display," Allen said.
There is some more information about D-Nabb's extension and where Haynesworth is, but I picked the uniform part as most important.
Well I hope they don't tinker too much with the uniforms. It would be sick if we looked up and had uniforms like the Bucs, Ravens or Titans. Those unis look like pajamas or cartoon action figures. If we made a change I would like to see some type of throwback, like the R on the helmet etc.
Bruce Allen's dad was responsible for the creation of THIS uniform...
sooo... what's a person to think?

I like those uniforms. The helmet had a much longer feather hanging down the side of the helmet. Although, I liked the 1982 helmets better when the feather wrapped around the bottom of the logo.

I will be following your post more closely, as I have found my favorite poster. lol!
Ahhh... the gold helmet, with the R... that, by the way, was personally conceived by Vince Lombardi... in hopes of carrying some of the winning tradition from his Green Bay years over to the 'skins. Unfortunately, his illness prevented him from ever coaching the team while they wore that helmet.

RIGHT!!! I LOVE the all burgundy too! That's why I wouldn't be upset if they didn't do a black but the black though.. oh man, that's some serious intimidation right there. Black with the Skins colors .. like I said before. LOL

A fan sent this to the official redskins blog. I am ALLLLL for this. That is gorgeous!!! I'm sooo tired of the white pants. Burgundy and GOOOOOLLLLDDDD.

His colorblindness is also the reason why the Skins no longer wear a true burgundy color. He was too proud to admit that he couldn't tell the difference.

Yeah. So many teams wear white. The gold would really set us apart. I hope they go for it.

They could use some candy-striped socks like the ones the Broncos wore last year.
(I'm not feeling the burgundy socks with the gold pants.)
Perhaps a sock design similar to the ones worn for the 75th Anniversary uniform would work well with your mock up.
Definitely not saying you're wrong, how could I? LOL It's all preference. I like the burgundy socks, it really makes the pants stand out. Also, if they added some stripes, I wouldn't be bothered but I kinda like the solids. #shrug
I really like that mockup tho. Man it's sexy. I wanna go to training camp just to hand the picture to Bruce.
Yeah, bring back the gold. We need to go OLD SCHOOL. The NFL is full of modern looking uniforms and teams that pass 60 times a game. We need to remind teams of the PAIN involved in stopping the Redskins running attack all game long and the old school uniforms might help bring that attitude back. Maybe darken up the burgundy a little bit too.
