Bears to wear 1940's 'Monsters of the Midway' throwbacks

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Bears to wear 1940's 'Monsters of the Midway' throwbacks

Post by BearSkins »

I like these. Heck, I like the whole 'Throwback' idea - the whole thing is kinda cool except for those Broncos and Eagles unis from the past couple years.

I propose an NFL team gets to pick TWO uniform combination to wear. One home, one away ALL SEASON. I would like that a lot.

The problem with that is one team has to wear white jerseys and the other colored jerseys. The home team get's to pick which it wears. But in general, most teams do already use one of two uniform combinations each season. I'm not sure why you want to limit it to only two, though. Are you any relation to Roger Goodell?

I just think it's ridiculous that the Redskins come out and wear 5 different uniform combos in a year. White on white, burgundy on burgundy, burgundy on white, white on burgundy... white shoes, black shoes, throwback uniforms...

And most of these "alternates" look like total CRAP.

I'm not sure I like THOSE uniforms in particular, but, I'm a fan of throwbacks.

For your team's sake, you'd better hope some of the MOTM magic rubs off on this year's squad.

...except against the Skins, of course.

That's the part that worries me - like we are taking thier name in vain and the Footballing Gods will not be pleased. Then again, with Urlacher and Tinoisamoa back from injury, Chris Harris back where he belongs at Safety along with the drafting of Major Wright we should be okay again (thankfully). Add in Julius Peppers at DE and Tommie Harris being semi-fit after not undergoing off-season surgery for the first time since Brett Favre was a boy and, perhaps, the Monster of the Midway will roam again. It all sounds grand until we figure in the hapless Lovie and his outdated Cover-2 scheme....
