Nicely put together Cleg! I agree, it is a good looking group. A lot of positives you could take from this:

Carriker is easily better than any 5th round DL in the draft. Plus Haslett has some personal knowledge with him, so he is a known quantity as far as work ethic and accountability.

McNabb is likely better than any QB in this draft. For sure he is better over the next few years and he will instantly be a valued leader in the huddle and locker room.

Cook played all three OL positions so if you're drafting for depth, he has versatitlity.

Capers is described as a perfect fit for the zone blocking scheme. So his value to Washington is much higher than to many other teams.

Trent Williams is also a much better fit for the ZBS, plus he's a better run blocker than Okung. Both very important facets to the Shanahan offense.

Dennis Morgan is a beast of a blocker. Donny Warren comparison is a good one. Hopefully he can live up to it. Maybe his nasty blocking will rub off on some of his team mates!

Terrence Austin fills a depserate need for some competetion at punt and kick returner. He also was described by his HC at UCLA as the strongest player on the team, pound for pound. We could use a WR with some attitude and work ethic.

Perry Riley looks to be a nice fit for the 3-4 and brings some much needed depth at the position. we really needed an ILB because after Fletcher, Blades is the only other guy. You start two LB's inside, so, we really needed another guy, even if Rocky stays and plays some ILB too. He has some family in Richmond and is excited about being a Redskin.

Great draft considering what Shanahan and Allen had to work with. It may turn out to be the best draft in 10 years if weighted to consider the round these players were picked in. This team is better today than it was yesterday. Go Skins.

After all the madness I actually think Mike did pretty good. Cook, Capers and of course Williams will compete for starting spots on the offensive line immidiatley. I also like the LB pick up.

The addition of another tight end and receiver are the two picks I dont see making any sense. Probably was more for value then need. Anyhow, good job Shanny and Allen.

Not a bad deal though, if you consider we lost Campbell, added McNabb and it cost us a 2nd rounder in the end.

He was the guy most likely to take that left tackle position and solidify it from Day 1. Washington didn't pick again until No. 103 -- thanks to the Donovan McNabb trade, which factors into the grade. What also does, however, is that while they like McNabb, they get just a 2012 fourth-rounder for Jason Campbell, their starter of the past two years. If Williams out performs Okung, he'll say he was right. If Okung plays better than Williams Mel will point out he correctly stated we pick the wrong guy

He gave a C- to a team that only had for picks in a seven round draft.

That's not a bad grade, but consider this team was in need of OL help and got two tackles that were projected to be 3rd rounders or higher and a center and that should upgrade that C- to at least a B.

Add in a guy that may provide depth at ILB and possibly a starting FB and you're in the B+ A- range.

Counting McNabb (2010 2nd pick) and Adam Carriker (dropped 28 spots in round 5 to get him)

It was hilarious watching Kiper's picks all miss. By day three, his "Best Available" list still had like everyone on it who was there from day 1.

Are we sure that he factors it positively? I actually read that as him saying, 'they gave up a 2nd rounder for an aging QB, and that hurts them a bit for their draft grade.'

Kiper's been putting out these summaries on ESPN for many years now. I would like to take a look at his history and see whether he's ever given a team above a 'C' grade if they've had, say, five picks or fewer.

All in all, the entire ESPN draft day coverage was pretty pathetic and Kiper is a moron. I love listening to Sirius NFL on draft day. They have some of the best analysts and draft experts (like Gil Brandt). I love Boomer, but he's got to call it quits. Kiper is an idiot. Steve Young spent as much time as I did learning about these guys and constantly talked over Tom Jackson. At one point (when I decided to switch back for good the Sirius), Young was trying to choke down his sandwich after Boomer asked him a question. He was talking with his mouth full. Gruden was alright, but the guy wouldn't shut his mouth. He always plays the nice guy. It was a complete disaster.
