After three minicamps, 14 days of "organized team activities" and an offseason workout program that at times felt decidedly in-season, Joe Gibbs finally had seen enough.
Pleased with the progress the Washington Redskins made during this offseason of change, Gibbs yesterday rewarded his veteran players by sending them home for summer vacation one day earlier than originally planned.
It's alot easier to buy into a program when the man composing it is responsible for three super bowl wins. I still cant beleive we have joe gibbs coaching the redskins, it hasnt fully sunk in yet, and probaly wont until I see him on the sidelines.
*emoticon of little yellow man mooning you*
A message to all Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys fans. (this comment was approved by jonc56)
Sending them home a day early has got to be a big moral booster. That kind of reminds me of the time in....I think 1991. When our bye week was in week eight. Joe Gibbs told the players that for every game they win they will get one day off during the bye week.
That's a very powerful message sent to those guys. It sounds like they've worked hard - more importantly, it sounds like they're pushing each other to be better - on and off the field.
Well I guess its up to me to play devils advocate. Sounds like the last two years to me. A day early was too much for this group of under achievers. Coach Gibbs should have worked them to death that very last day.
I knew you would find something to say Gambit. We cant suck every year so one day we will finally see you crawl back into your hole, but for now enjoy your the sunlight.
3 SUPERBOWL RINGS AND LOOKING FOR THE 4TH.CALL US THE LORD OF THE RINGS!!!!!
Ok. Take the carrot back Gibbs. U take away our training camp. Now U send them home and take away the news that i crave. One or the other, ur killin me joe! LMAO
Ganbit, Gambit, Gambit always with something to say... Don't worry Joe Gibbs will make your cowboys start their vacation early as well, it will be their christmas gift.

There's a pessimist born every day. I always love your views gambit187...with the Redskins your glass is "half empty" and with the Cowboys It's always "half full." I dispise the Cowboys but love the "Tuna" he is awsome, however the more I see of his coaching I get concerned about his motivation skills. I like to think I'm a bit nutral Gambit...may the best Redskins team win.
