Interesting... did the '09 preseason not exist? I seem to recall that he looked pretty ordinary. Word is, Zorn intended to cut him, had he not been injured.
I'm still wondering why he regressed in pre-seasons. '08 he looked good in his 3rd string offense. '09 he looked way worse. Why? Could it possibly be that zorn isn't the QB God people made him out to be? Yes, he worked with JC and there were improvements, but was he THAT DAMN GOOD? He surely wasn't that good as a HC and playcaller. Maybe he can't coach everybody.
Well, I think there is a suggestion about "why" in the concern voiced over his "cockiness". Zorn is nothing, if not patient.

My understandin is that he was playing with the injury (which needed surgery) during preseason last year.

And maybe Brennon isn't that good. We have Zorn who has had success being an NFL QB and coaching quarterbacks in the NFL versus Brennon, a sixth round pick who cleaned it up in College against Middle Utah State and in the NFL pre-season against a bunch of guys teaching High School Gym now. OBVIOUSLY it's Zorn who didn't deliver....

Or it could be that Zorn's only QB he coached that turned out to be worth a damn was Hassle out in Seattle. It could have been Zorn and Hassle got along pretty good vs. how Zorn got along with JC or Colt. Not to mention Zorn found himself way over his head trying to make everything work by himself.
