Associated Press IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys backup running back Erik Bickerstaff likely will miss the season after tearing his Achilles tendon during a team workout last week.
Bickerstaff had surgery Friday. According to the team's Web site, Bickerstaff will be placed on injured reserve this week, meaning he'll miss the 2004 season.
The injury occurred during a routine carry in practice.
Bickerstaff had 59 yards on 19 carries and had two special teams tackles in the Cowboys' final four games last season.
darn it jake, first you post jones will miss season, and now pukes RB out for season. stop getting me all worked up....thats twice i thought the pukes may have had some REAL bad luck.
no offense to puke fans, just trying to make a funny... and a bad one at that.
THN's resident jerk.
Glock .40 Model 22 - First* line of home defense.... 'ADT' is for liberals.
Bickerstaff was a FB in college that had one carry during his tenure there. I think the only reason he made the squad last year was because Reshard Lee was injured during pre-season. No big loss in my book. Heck this probably helps us by making us take a look at a veteran for a backup.
Philly Lost!
Couldn't have happened to a nicer team or a nicer set of fans!
