Post by Pudgeman37 »

I'm just wondering, who in the entertainment business are fans of the Skins? I can think of Matthew Mcouganay (A Texan no less) and two guys from Hottie and the Blowfish, and someone list other celebs?

Tracy

I read somewhere that the new Iraqi president is a Redskin fan. I don't know if it's true. I can't tell you his name, but I think he fled Iraq several years ago and lived in the U.S. for many years (I think).

I saw this same picture when I bought my first drum kit. I'm not sure if he is a fan, but, Chad Smith, drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, wore a Redskins skull cap for a photo shoot with Pearl Drums. Check it Out!

Here's the link to the site: http://www.pearldrum.com/c_smith.asp

...and a close-up shot.

Yeah, I saw on foxnews they were talking about the guy and said that he is a redskins fan. Which, being in the military, is very promising for me to hear.
P.S. I don't know his name either

You'll understand when your older why the law is like it is... I use to think just like that when I was your age.... which really wasn't that long ago.... but you'll come to understand....

I mean yes there are young adults dying for our country who can't drink.... but there's many more.... who aren't and allowing them to drink as much as they want at the age of 18.... well you really would not give them a chance to enter the real world with a fighting chance of survival ;)

Oh trust me I hear you on that brother. It's the fact that I am in the military and still can't drink that bothers me. My point is that If your in the military, no matter where you are or what your age, you should be allowed to drink. Even though I'm in the service, in states, I can't get a beer after work. We're the ones who defend the right for anyone to drink in this country, we should be able to reep the fruits of our labor. Also, you never know where you'll be tomarrow and if you'll ever be able to get that first legal drink. When your in the military it's less likely that you will. Especially now.

like i said... you'll understand when your older.... you can't make at legal for 18 year olds to drink only if there in the military... otherwise... everyone would join the military, just so they can get drunk ;) I'm sure your a good guy and would drink responsibly.... It's just there's millions of others... that won't be as responsible ;)

First of all, if nothing else, it's a good recruiting tool. Secondly, when joining the military it's not as if you sign your name on the dotted line and your in. You need to pass the asvab, go through medical (physical and psychological exams), the look at your history and talk to references as part of background checks. So not everyone would join. Then you go to basic, which beleive it or not turns 18 yr. old boys into 18 yr. old men. and even turns 33 yr. old boys into 33 yr. old men. Thirdly when your in the military you are much more careful about what you do no matter what it is b/c it's not like the civilian world style of punishment. There are so many different ways to punish. Uncle Sam becomes Dad here and dad can do whatever he wants. You make valid points but to understand where I'm coming from you really need to be in the military and know how life really works. I've been on both sides of the fence and life is much different on this side.

My father is retired Military... I lived in Europe in a military community for 8 years of my childhood life.... My brother to went West Point for awhile and shared his experiences with me... so I know what the life is like.....

Really, You haven't been on both sides of the fence.... the military feeds you, houses you... wait till your out of the Military, and you've got mouths to feed and a house and wife to take care of.... thats when you really need the drinks anyways ;) Anywho... like I said.... You'll understande when your a little older, why the law is the way it is.... I don't want to jump off topic anymore.... so if you want to start a thread in the lounge to continue this topic, I'd be more than happy to debate it with you

Actually, there's some TV show on now - "Yes, Dear" or something. My wife used to watch it but honestly it's pretty lame. Anyways, one of the main characters wears Redskins gear in almost every episode we saw. In the show, they're originally from Western Maryland and moved to the West Coast. The guy's pretty funny though, he's been on other shows/movies.

Here's the guy: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/yes_dear/cast02.shtml

The other guy in the show is from Lynchburg, VA from what this says:

So.......are there any DRUNK GERMAN celebrity REDSKINS fans, since we're on the topic???

As for Gene Hackman, there was nothing better than seeing him in "Loose Cannons" wearing a Redskins satin jacket. I'm not sure if that was due to the film being set in Washington, DC, or his fandom. Can anyone elaborate? In what other movies has he worn Redskins gear?
