I see your point DEHog but fact is the season was "over" here a month ago

sorry, just kidding - Snyder manages to show his true nature again
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

For the love of all things holy, LEAVE THE MAN ALONE! He just canned Vinny the Skink, hired a GM who hired an established coach and said HE, not Dan, was the ultimate authority on Redskins decisions. Please give him a chance to be the owner and make owner decisions so he doesn't interfere with football operations. Sometimes there is so much hate from our fanbase we can't help but be negative.

Dan Snyder is a Redskin too

He wants to win

He does his best

He's decided to hand the team over to people who can so if he wants to figure out how to make more money faster good for him. We'll all be happier in the end

The problem is, his history makes it hard to be anything but doubtful that he really is stepping away from decision making. Snyder is going to have to demonstrate it over a period of years before it can be believed. He did step away once before, with Schottenheimer who went 8-8 with Tony Banks at QB, and he fired Schottenheimer because he "wasn't having any fun".
With the Cardinals reaching the Super Bowl, is Dan Snyder officially the worst owner in the league?

Agreed. However, Shanahan wouldn't have taken this job if he wasn't given full control.

There is no big deal IMO. We either pay now or later. Whatever. He hasn't raised ticket prices again. He always at least is willing to spend the moeny to try and make the team better. Again, it doesn't matter to me whether I pay now or August.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

I can see where it would matter to some. Maybe some ticket holders put together savings to pay for their tickets.

I dunno, not being a ticket holder myself, but that's the only thing that makes sense to me as to why it would be a problem now instead of August.

Other factors could be that people are still paying off their credit cards from Christmas this early in the year and don't have the money yet.

I can see where it would be frustrating to get a bill that large this early when you weren't expecting it until later in the year. Is it due immediately, or can you wait till later to pay it, or make partial payments?

I can also see it from the other side too. If season ticket holders are going to jump ship en-masse (which many threatened to do last season), you want to make sure you can get new ones on board and that they can also have time to adjust their finances accordingly.

Don't forget, he sent the ticket invoices out a week after he set everyone up with the 100 ft replay screen mailing. Dan marketing his tail off again.

I could care less what he does with his ticket billing, or anything - Snyder is a low life scum for what he has done to this franchise with his meddling over the past 10 years - NOTHING changes that - any conversation or discussion about the worst owners in the NFL, has to include Daniel Snyder, that's just a fact :D

Dan Snyder may not be the worst owner in the NFL at present but he's certainly in the mix
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's your party, Hate all you want to. We have an owner who is in my opinion a ten year vet as far as running a franchise goes and unlike many franchise owners out there he changes what isnt' working. Up to this point the changes haven't worked, so he has made a monumental change in the VERY SAME EFFORT to bring this franchise to glory. If this works out are you still going to act like he's Al Davis? Does anyone ever get a chance to prove themselves?

I didn't like what Stephon Heyer did for our passing game but he tried his best and has continued to improve. Does this make him SCUM?

What's the issue? I don't get it. Don't you want to know what it's going to cost early and when it's due? Had you'd said he was expecting payment before the season is over I'd get it. But sending the bill?

HOPEFULLY Snyder has changed - HOPEFULLY Snyder will let these guys do what is needed to make this franchise consisently competitive

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I'll admit my opinion of Snyder has changed a lot
at this time however, I think he's showing that he's going to let these guys make this franchise successful again BUT that does not mean that he's become somebody that I will let off the hook for all that he's done over the past 10 years IN SPITE OF THE OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE THAT WHAT HE WAS DOING WAS STUPID at best

any conversation about the least liked and respected owner in the NFL for the past 10 years has to include Dan Snyder's name as one of the top contenders

Dan Snyder is a low-life owner because he's earned it
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance

At the time most decisions he directly influenced were made there were no answers to how it would work out. He's not the first owner to bring in the hottest college coach to take a shot at the NFL. It's been years since he brought in aging veterans and there's no indication we're ever going to bring in any 39 year old DE's in the future.

What are the five worst things he's done?

Please show me the malice of Dan Snyder, to me he has always been a fan who has desperately wanted to win like the rest of us.

I don't know that anyone argued "malice." At least most of us didn't. As for me, I'm not interested in a debate you start by changing my position to suit your purpose.

I would have been with you on this...except the way they (that's Cerrato AND Snyder) treated Zorn this year was disgusting.

1. Hire a consultant (who last was calling Bingo) without letting the HC know first.
2. Pull playcalling duties from your HC (the original reason you hired the guy, and what he really liked doing) and give said duties to that consultant. Totally undercutting the head coach.
3. And during the season, when it's clear that you're going to fire him, you let the coach hang in the wind. Fire him, or support him...don't just let the man hang.

Ridiculous. Completely unprofessional. While you can say Cerrato was responsible for these actions, Snyder could have acted like a human being at any time and absolutely PUT A STOP TO IT. Even though we all knew Zorn was going to be fired; that he let Zorn twist in the wind like this was ridiculous.

However, hearing and reading confirmed stories that Snyder, right in the presence of Zorn , was asking John Lynch to tell him what kind of head coach Shanahan was tells me that Snyder wasn't just complicit in those actions...he was the actual progenitor of those actions.

Scumbag of a human. SCUMBAG.

The list of bad things he's done is so long, that only five is too few. There was an article a while back naming him the unsportsman of the year that had about 20 things, just from 2009. The main job of any business owner is to establish a culture within the business that can lead to sucess. You work to build teamwork and cohesiveness with all the employees. Snyder has conducted a clinic in how not to establish a good culture in a business. His style, instead of encouraging teamwork, encourages selfishness and getting ahead by a political relationship with the owner rather than sucess. The list of bad things isn't really relevant - it's the failure to breed the proper culture that is the problem. Only when the culture is changed will consistent success be the result.
With the Cardinals reaching the Super Bowl, is Dan Snyder officially the worst owner in the league?
