Hognostication Playoffs - Pro-Bowl Round???

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Hognostication Playoffs - Pro-Bowl Round???

Post by Deadskins »

That's right, the Pro-Bowl Round! I've come up with a new round. More on that in a minute.

Congratulations to TeeterSalad and Mursilis, who advanced to the big game.

In the DHC, Mursilis and Hoss were tied at halftime, but Mursilis made adjustments, and Hoss just couldn't cope. In the HHC, the battle went to overtime again, but the kicker for TeeterSalad was dead-on true with the game on the line, and Deadskins never saw the ball in the extra period.

Here is the updated tournament bracket:

Divisional Round____Championship Round__Hognosti-Bowl V_____Playoff Champion

HHC:
#4 REDEEMEDSKIN
_______________ \_#1 TeeterSalad__
#1 TeeterSalad___/________________\
________________________________ \_#1 TeeterSalad__
#3 DesertSkin_____________________/________________\
_______________ \__#2 Deadskins__/__________________\
#2 Deadskins____/___________________________________\
___________________________________________________\_________________
DHC:_______________________________________________/
#4 jeremyroyce______________________________________/
_____________ \_____#1 Mursilis______________________/
#1 Mursilis_____/__________________\________________/
________________________________ \__#1 Mursilis____/
#3 Hoss_________________________/

We do not play a home team for the HB, so TeeterSalad and Mursilis need to PM me their picks no later than noon on SB Sunday, though I hope you do it much sooner than that. Once I have heard from each of you, I will post a Hognosti-Bowl V thread with the match up in it.

Here is the game:

Sunday, February 7, 6:25 PM EST, CBS
New Orleans Saints @ Indianapolis Colts

Good luck, and happy Hognosticating.

But, since there is a week-long break, and Sunday the 7th, noon is the deadline for the HB contestants, I thought the rest of us might have some fun, especially since the Pro-Bowl is during the off week.

Here's how the PB round works:

As runners up in our respective conferences, Hoss (DHC) and I (HHC) will coach our conference teams in the first ever Prognosticator-Bowl. (note the clever way I joined "Pro" with "Hognosticator")

The fallen teams from the conferences will play for their coach by offering up suggested outcomes and scores, but the coach retains the final call.

Of course, fan balloting is also very important part of the PB. So even if you didn't play this season, your thoughts or support of one of the player's opinions will all be taken under advisement.

We will close the balloting at noon on Thursday, and coaches' picks in by Friday, at noon.

Geez, no one played. :(
Y'all must have something better to do with your time. I say it's a matter of priorities. :P

Anyway, NFC 62

sorry - I'm not sure anyone cares very much about the Pro Bowl

Just my take on this farce - this 'game' is almost akin to a TV reality show or similar - I have not watched a Pro Bowl 'game' for a few years now - this is not a real NFL game and to even discuss the merits of the selection to a Pro Bowl is laughable

I am looking forward to the Super Bowl however :D
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'll take the East and predict 72 points
