Bills should axe Williams
Buffalo News columnist Jerry Sullivan thinks that the Bills should clean house during their bye week. Sullivan suggests that the Bills replace head coach Greg Williams and offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride with Dick LeBeau and Les Steckel.

Russell may be too hot for Redskins to handle
Should the Redskins sign Darrell Russell? The Washington Times' Jody Foldesy reports that some of the Redskins are wondering if Russell "would be a disruptive or perhaps even dangerous influence".

Wuerffel may call it quits
Danny Wuerffel may decide to retire rather than rejoin the Redskins. Sources told the Washington Times' Mark Zuckerman that Wuerffel plans to reject the Redskins' offer to back up Patrick Ramsey.

Dolphins should stick with Griese
Was Brian Griese's impressive performance against the Chargers enough to convince Dave Wannstedt to make him the team's No. 1 QB? Miami Herald columnist Greg Cote thinks that the Dolphins should give the ball to Griese from now on.

Raiders mum on Gannon
Raiders fans won't know until Wednesday whether or not Rich Gannon will be the team's starting QB against the Lions. The San Jose Mercury News' Craig Lancaster reports that Raiders Coach Bill Callahan has yet to address rumors that Gannon has a torn labrum in his right shoulder.

oh yea, we don't have any hot dogs or trouble makers now.....I don't get it. If they guy can ball and create some havoc inside, then this is a no-brainer for us....we have to have some man-power on our defensive front, thus a passrush....if not our depleted secondary is going to get abused and our LBs are going to be blocked and ineffective
