Vikings @ Saints

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Vikings @ Saints

Post by BeeGee »

Should be an incredible game. Vikings are a little beat up after the Cowboys game - losing Edwards might be huge. That being said, I like the Vikings on the road for this one. I think AP will have a breakout game and the Vikings' d-line is chaos waiting to happen. Can't imagine how hype this one will be, with the Saints one win from the Superbowl. If N.O. can pressure Favre, that secondary could factor greatly in the outcome. If N.O. has trouble with the run, it could be a long one.

Vikings 30
Saints 26
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)
----- TWO EASY -----

I think you lowballed the score a little bit but you are right, I think it will be a hell of a game as well. I can't wait to see it.

Favre grew up as a Saints fan. Will he now keep the Saints from their first Superbowl?

Peyton Manning grew up a Saints fan as well. Should be interesting to see if the Saints play the Colts in three weeks as well. There are a lot of story lines to follow. This will be much more entertaining then the Jets/Colts matchup.

I don't know about that. The Jets humiliated the Colts before and ruined their winning streak. Now could they do it again? Will Manning have the eye of the tiger with their defeat fresh in his head? I think it'll be a good match as well as the Viks v. Saints. Although if the Jets win then they'll either have to take on the Viks or Saints in the bowl... and I think we all know how that'll end.

I think it would be hilarious if the Jets were to beat Brent Favour in the SB, should that be the matchup.

I'm torn on who to cheer for because I picked the Vikes since like week 5, but if the Saints win Fletcher might find his way into the pro bowl.

Yeah, Painter is a viable replacement for Manning  . They pulled damn near all their starters. Don't expect it to be even remotely close to that game this weekend.

Looks like the Saints over the Vikings and the Colts over the Jets to me :D
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Same here, and even though I'd prefer the Vikings as a team to make the SB, I would also love to see a Brees - Manning matchup in the Superbowl.

I think the Vikes will win this one. Of course I suck at picking games, but will definitely sit down and enjoy this matchup.

Yea bro, that's the bottom line.. hopefully it will be a great game to watch.. I mean, the Vikes/Cows game was great to watch too!!!!.. I'm looking forward to seeing how the defenses step up more than how the offenses play, we've seen what both of these offenses can do.

The outcome hinges on what QB has the better day.

The pass rush will be critical and I feel that the Vikes have a better rush although Greg Williams will be agressive and creative.

My wife is a Saints fan since we were single. So, you know who this household will be cheering for.

My Hognostication? Vikes ina VERY high scoring game (+30 pts for both teams)

I do not see how the Saints are going to stop the Vikings rushing game. This may be the game where AP goes buck wild. Once the Saints stack the box then this may allow Brett to be Brett. At the same time the Vikings secondary is not good enough to stop Brees. But, the Vikings have a great pass rush.

I dont mind seeing either of the teams win. Saints or Vikes is fine with me. I am picking the Vikes to pull this one out. Farve is on fire and his defense is also playing inspired football. The Vikings defense managed to stomp on a pretty good C girls team.

Just don't sleep on the Saints secondary folks.. I mean I know they can give up big plays but Darren Sharper lives for these kinds of games. I can't remember the other guy's name but they have a pretty decent CB out there too.

Saints have been hurt by injuries all season. They just finally got healthy. But I would love to see a Manning vs Favre super bowl. But either NFC Team vs the Colts should be a good game. But the Jets are the wild card. They should not have beaten the Chargers, yet they did. They should not have beaten the Bengals twice in a row, but they did. Both games are very interesting. But Colts should win.

The Saints are heading to the Super Bowl - what a great tragedy this looked like for a while as Favre and the Vikings looked like they were going to win it at the end of regulation - thankfully he blew it
