Woman in Tony Romo Jersey Assaulted by Eagles Fans

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Woman in Tony Romo Jersey Assaulted by Eagles Fans

Post by jeremyroyce »

Walking around in the Philadelphia area in a Tony Romo jersey is dangerous. Especially on the very weekend that the Cowboys are playing the Eagles, as a woman in Bethlehem, Pa., found out the hard way.

A 27-year-old woman named Jaime Wert said that on Friday night she was walking from a convenience store to her home wearing her Romo jersey when she heard someone yell, "Hey, Romo!"

When she turned around, she saw two men, both wearing Eagles jerseys, and one smacked her, cutting her face.

"I really freaked out because I could feel the blood running down my cheek," Wert told the Morning Call. "I kicked the one guy in his leg and they both ran."

Wert said she didn't get a good enough look at the guys to give police much of a description, and no one has been arrested. But she said Friday's incident didn't dampen her enthusaism for her Cowboys.

"It won't stop me," she said Monday. "I wore it on Saturday and the Cowboys won."

Ah yes, those classy Smeagols fans. She should have kicked him in the nads. Of course, maybe he really did mistake her for Romo.

I don't get fans why they have to resort to violence over a difference of a different team. Especially assaulting a woman.

Hey... they're Eagles fans. It's what they do.

I think it's genetic.

Don't think he has any so I guess she made do.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

She actually did kick him there but he didn't have any :)
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

that is weird. I have been to Philly and everyone I met was nice.

Oh! you must have been there on the day they were cheering Michael Irvin's neck injury...

Or, maybe it was the day they tried to beat up Clinton Portis' mom...

Eagles fans feel entitled to act like idiots because the sports world gives the city a pass and almost glorifies their behavior as if it's some kind of badge of badness.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)
----- TWO EASY -----
