Wow...what a game in Arizona.

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

That would definitely make things more "interesting".

All I know is that Warner, being a Christian, doesn't have to wait till he gets to heaven for his 17 virgins, if he were so inclined

Well that returns us to the question, which came first the chicken or the egg. You could easily say that Palmer played lousy, as did McNabb and Brady, which is why they'll be watching TV next week.

The Ravens game is the only one where defense and running the ball clearly won the game .... Flacco with 10 attempts passing? 4 completions? 34 passing yards? And 33 points?

That has to be some kind of record or several records.

He'd have to wait even less if he became a Mormon (this statement was not made to offend anyone).

Yeh, kinda like the BCS title game. I had to watch the replay to confirm that Bama's QB actually did throw a pass. Weird.

I don't lie. Period. Not in real life, and not on the forum.

If Warner had screamed out "Thank you Allah" after winning the NFC Championship and thereafter said all his accomplishments were because Allah was in charge and was continuing to push his religious beliefs on the rest of us you'd have an issue with it. Just because he's Christian you don't.

If a player wanted to show piety towards Allah or Xenu or whoever, no, it wouldn't bother me. (Besides, you don't know what my religious beliefs are. As it happens, there are substantial differences between me and Kurt Warner.) That doesn't mean I have to get cynical and scoff when he expresses them.

The man is a great football player. When he accomplishes some of the greatest achievements in the game — like winning a Super Bowl or NFC Championship — and someone puts a microphone and asks him what he's feeling, he's entitled to express himself a little. And as far as I know he's quiet about it for the most part.

Like Vetskins said above, I don't consider what Kurt Warner does to be "pushing his religious beliefs on the rest of us." God forbid he believe in something.

by the way - It was some game and actually while the stats may have indicated that the defenses were hopeless in my opinion it was a helluva game by both QBs and some incredible catches by the receivers

Baltimore did not need to pass very much because they had such a good 1-2 thing going with their RBs
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

How sad it must be to have beliefs that are so fragile that someone else expressing theirs is seen as a threat.

There were a couple of very interesting games this weekend. New England getting crushed was a beautiful thing... and is sure to make this Redskins fan's life in Maine a lot more tolerable... as it will shut up those Patsie fans from extending my misery.

Philadelphia is pathetic. It would have been nice to see Cincy win...

Funny thing about religion/faith and the expression of it: People that claim not to care about it one way or the other are often annoyed by people that do. If you don't care, why is it that the very mention or expression of one's faith seen as something "in your face" or forceful???

Someone who thinks Kurt Warner is over the top must get instantly nauseous at the sight/sound of Tim Tebow... People are funny.

ouch. NFL Network should have the replay this week.

Do you know if they will replay the whole game or parts of it?

Oh, sure. But then again, I've been around this site for a few years now and have also been personally involved with it. So I think it means a little more for me to make that claim than it would for someone who just joined up last week. If cleg is allowed to assume that I would have to be lying to answer his question, then I'm allowed to stand up for myself a little. ;)

you all miss my point. i don't care if a person is religous. i do care that in this country a christian can run around saying god's will this and god's will that but any other faith is looked down upon. that is my point. a secondary point is, i get offended when there is so much evil in the world that a football player thinks god is helping him perform on the field to make millions of dollars. really? god cares that you made a 38 yeard td throw more than a starving child? hum.

^^^^ who cares - c'mon man

fact is the game in Arizona was all you could want to see - great comeback by the Packers and while the Packers defense with the defensive player of the year did not play as well as they had this year that was some great game by the QBs for both teams

Every time that a thread is brought over into race, religious, gender or any other controversial topic, it understandably leads to acrimonious debate.

I personally try to stick to football in this forum. I understand that smack and the Lounge deal with greater variety of views in case some people come here looking for them.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

bottom line, it was a great show of QB and offensive talent. i'm glad Kurt is still doing it too, i've always liked that guy as a true underdog coming into the league. at the same time i was extatic to see Rogers doing so great cause of the whole farve situation. plus defenses can look @ this game and see how NOT to play defense..

just a spin off question regarding the cards.. you think boldin is definitely out of there come next season???? breaston stepped up big time and this guy ducet looked really good too. must be awesome to have real good backup WRs. kinda like edelman in NE when welker got hurt, not just the playoff game either, welker was hurt during the season and i picked up edelman for one game and he put in big work for me.

Because it made him look like a dope. I think the guy belongs in the Hall of Fame and I think he does great work in the community AND I like to watch him play. I still think he is a dope for screaming thank you jesusssssss like a heavy metal christian rock band.
