Hognostication Playoffs - Wild Card Round

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Hognostication Playoffs - Wild Card Round

Post by Deadskins »

Seems we only have 10 contestants in this year's Hognostications, so to match up to the NFL playoffs (and have 4 contestants in each conference after this weekend), we will have 3 byes from each conference. This seems to be the fairest way to proceed. Anyhoo, here are the seedings for this season's tournament.

HHC (Hogs Hognostication Conference)
1. TeeterSalad
2. Deadskins
3. DesertSkin
4. REDEEMEDSKIN
5. SkinsJock

DHC (Dirtbags Hognostication Conference)
1. Mursilis
2. KazooSkinsFan
3. Hoss
4. jeremyroyce
5. tribeofjudah

Which means that this weekend we have:

SkinsJock @ REDEEMEDSKIN

and

tribeofjudah @ jeremyroyce

The home team gets the advantage of picking second, so SkinsJock and tribeofjudah need to get their picks in no later than Friday at noon EST. You need to pick the winners from each game, and the total points for the weekend.

Here are the games:

AFC
Sat., Jan. 9, 4:30 p.m. ET NBC
N.Y. Jets @ Cincinnati

Sun., Jan. 10, 1:00 p.m. ET CBS
Baltimore @ New England

NFC
Sat., Jan. 9, 8:00 p.m. ET NBC
Philadelphia @ Dallas

Sun., Jan 10, 4:40 p.m. ET FOX
Green Bay @ Arizona

Good luck to all, and happy hognosticating.

I don't think so, but not sure.

Thanks for the opportunity

Saturday:
Bengals over the Jets
Cowboys over the Eagles

Sunday:
Ravens over the Patriots
Packers over the Cardinals

total points = 168
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

my congratulations to TRO - 2-2, but convincing with the tie breaker

I'm sure that TRO will understand that there is no way I can root for a hognostitraitor - so .... I will be rooting for anyone else but TRO :)

Yeah right.... OK.
I picked to WIN, all the losers of last week: Bengals, Cardinals, Eagles. So I got 1 of 3 there.

I also wanted Ray Rice to move on so I'm 1 for 1

Can I still play for next week...please? pretty please?

IF So, I pick:

Chargers (Cali boy)
Ravens (Ray Rice fan)
Vikings (Hate Dallas)
Cardinals (tough one but I'm a Kurt Warner fan)

I'll be picking too but in both our cases it's a "losers bracket" - anyone can make their choices known, there are only 8 that really count however

I'm not complaining, but, in my opinion, one of the refs really blew 2 personal foul calls against the Cardinals during that last series - we'll see if the NFL lets whomever was responsible be in a game the rest of the playoffs. IF they do, then obviously I did not see what I thought I saw

that being said, the Cardinals deserved to win and it would have been wrong if the Packers had managed to pull a win out after that incredibly bad show by their defense
