I agree. Several players are not playing to their skills and or best positions. Orakpo, Landry, Haynesworth, ...

And we need to replace Griffin. It would be nice if he stays as a backup with a smaller salarary but we need another great player side-by-side with Albert.

Orakpo has 11 sacks and you use him as an example he's NOT being used for his skills? What a bunch of incompetent boobs we are, wasting draft picks like that. Sure.

I refer to the FACT that whenever he has been successful, he has been used as DE and not in pass coverage.

He is not a good pass coverage LB. He could have been far more effective rushing all the time than trying to become a LB player in coverage that he is not.

I knew what you were referring to, I just don't buy it. He's having a great season, to use him as a vehicle to criticize our coaches is just plain silly. Sure, they try him in different ways, but obviously what they're doing with him is working.

That's specious reasoning. If they would play him with his hand in the dirt every play, then he could have 20 sacks instead of just 11, and wouldn't be getting burned in pass coverage.

It sounds like AH is trying to give an honest assessment of what he sees as a philosophy difference between himself & Coach Blache.

I am liking the media less & less for their misinterpretations of what is going on behind the scenes.

His tone was sarcastic & described the atmosphere in Washington as "defeated."

Before the Giants game Jason was getting much better pass protection.

Jason was a ragdoll out there. From no sacks to Five & numerous pressured throws. It's not a surprise the Skins had 77 yards of total offense in the first half.

No one who is associated with the b&g should be pleased with their performance.

I agree but my main thing is that he needs to be utilized in the weightroom on a bike burning some cardio and building up his stamina. That guy flops more than any player I've ever seen.

Alright sir, lets see you take on 2-3 270+lb men in the trenches and see how long you last. He's never taking on JUST ONE PERSON, he's creating havoc against 2-3 men. We have guys on this team that couldn't make an impact if they went unblocked.

Having been a big supporter of Blache these past two years, here in the second half of 2009, there has been a major drop in performance of the defense. Having given up 27 to Philly twice, 31 to Atlanta, 33 NO, and 45 NYG in the last 8 games is a rather pathetic decline.

What ever is happening in the secondary tells me we need some serious changes back there. Between Steve jackson and Jerry Gray, they aren't getting it done. Rogers and Landry have been major disappointments this year, but more troubling is these player's attitudes after laying eggs. They just don't seem to care or think they've got to step it up. Landry, especially, with his swagger when he's being roasted every week, and frequently out of position to make plays, taking poor angles, and whiffing on tackles. And I've seen NO CHANGE in this.

That Haynesworth is questioning the way the defensive line is being held back is not the first time a D lineman has made such comments about Blache either.

So, given the poor showing over the second half of the season, and especially Monday night, I say the whole bloody lot of them should be shown the door.

And I'd work hard in the off season to unload both Landry and Rogers ... two first round picks that have not lived up to their draft positions.

Not to get this too far off-topic, but Thomas has a lot more to prove before we can say that he isn't a bust. He has 25 catches on the year...that hardly qualifies someone as not being a bust. You expect a lot more production out of a second round player in his second year.

Not to get this too far off-topic, but Thomas has a lot more to prove before we can say that he isn't a bust. He has 25 catches on the year...that hardly qualifies someone as not being a bust. You expect a lot more production out of a second round player in his second year.

I don't think it's possible to evaluate WRs when the passing game is 26% behind the line of scrimmage, and another 40% less than 7 yards. That's 67% of passing plays within 7 yards of the line ... with a 64% completion percentage, that really limits the number of opportunities ANYONE will get on the outside.

This passing offense revolves around screens and dump offs. From what I've seen from Thomas when he does get the ball has been impressive. But receivers have to get the ball ... he just hasn't gotten that many. But then again, Moss's numbers are down too ... especially his total yards and TDs.

Our d-line is in pretty good shape overall, I'd say. We're set at DE for the near future (Orakpo and Jarmon, and Carter), and DT is fine with Haynesworth and Gholston. Yes, it would be nice if we had all-stars at every position on the d-line, but this is one area of the team where we don't need a lot more investment.

Nope, I said they need more time. But Haynesworth is a known quantity. his lack of endurance and leaderships precedes him. Of course he is a great player. Not a 40M guaranteed guy though. Especially if he's going to start pointing fingers in the media.
