So with Allen in place who is the next coach

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

from what i see and what needs to happen and others have brought this up already dan needs to take a backseat and just sign the checks and let bruce bring in who he wants or needs to succeed. it goes from the personnel in the front office to the coaches and players on the field..

dan please do the right thing this time..hands off just sign the checks.

IF we bring in a new DC, I think they'll switch to a 3-4... Why? I have no idea. lol

I think the defensive staff could use a few upgrades as well. Blache is mediocre and it's absurd that they haven't been able to find a better way to use LL or coach him (or bench him) to the point where he stops getting abused in pass coverage.

Haven't read all posts but has anyone considered:

Perhaps Sherman Lewis could become the Head Coach. He was in the candidate circles back in the days...

Is this a far stretch.........? BINGO

Gruden has no reason to leave the ESPN booth when he can sit and collect 2 paychecks at once. One from ESPN and the other from the Bucs.

Shanahan would be nice. But Cowher would be sick too.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

We could end up with Shanahan and Cowher - Snyder can afford both and we would be the first team with 2 Head Coaches  - this also keeps either of these 2 off the sidelines of any other teams - while we're at it we should also try and bring in Gruden too - yeah, that makes sense

geez people - are you all guzzling that cool aid or what?

I guess that was "orchestrated" - almost a freudian slip for "castrated"
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

speaking of castrated - I wonder how Jim Zorn is feeling about how he's being treated not just at the begining of all our issues but lately as well - I know that he's likely to get paid 3 mil if he hangs in there but does anyone else think that the pressure is being kept on him in the hope that if he finally gives in, the Danny can "save" some money

it's really no wonder that Snyder could not find anyone to come in here after he'd already brought in an OC and then went looking for a HC 2 years ago

classy group we have here

If Snyder really wanted to make Zman quit he could. To the tune of say 10,000 Brazilian Fire Ants

for what it's worth - while it's true that Gruden has what is termed an "iron clad" contract, that is more to prevent him from going to another network than to stop him from another job on the sidelines

Its totally up to Gruden, if he wants the job here he can have it :D

The Washington Redskins already have begun the process of interviewing candidates for their potential head-coaching vacancy, according to league sources, with secondary coach Jerry Gray recently spending a Tuesday at team owner Daniel Snyder's house talking about the position.

now that i have had some time to reflect on bruce allens hiring of general manager i will have my spin on things as we move forward these last 3 weeks of the season. first of all i would go around and talk with everyone and and get to know them upfront and personal and then let the evaluation process begin with them and the players/coaches the next 3 weeks and at the sametime continue to strengthen the front office by surrounding yourself with solid personnel people. so in the meantime as we get closer to the new year i would have a plan in place once the season has ended. so for the current staff and jim zorn it,s been some trying hard times for you these 2 years and i appreciate you for trying to make the most out of it but you got in way over your head on this one and it showed.so jim goodluck to you in the future and i hope it works out for your in getting another chance down the road with another team.so now this leads me to the owner who has had more than his chance to get things right during this past decade since 1999 it has been very tough on all of us dedicated redskins fans thru the years watching coaches come and go with no results other than marty and joe but even then that missing piece wasn,t there a general manager alongside to help with football decisions.so with this announcement of the hiring of bruce allen maybe just maybe you have seen what we have been seeing for some time now but until i see this organization take shape from the inside out i will always be doubting you until i see you with the lombardi trophy.so in short i will always bleed burgundy and gold and i,ll even take it with me when my time has come.so again dan you have started to go in the right direction so my advice to you would be to keep on going in the right direction so this team and it,s fans can be heard from again in a positive light like putting us back into the stands with a reason to support our beloved redskins again with our full support..so in closing i will be here to see this thru once and for all and i hope i have support in doing the same .

thanks
