A win is good but ... the fundamental problems remain

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

I think Blache has done an outstanding job given the lack of assistance on the other side of the ball.

Shannahan would be a GREAT choice (I like Gruden too) but Shan is as good as they get IMO, and has always managed to field a team with solid offensive production. Couple that with the Redskin defense, ahhh.

I agree that I'd like to see more attack from the defense, but lets remember that Blache has been forced into playing it safe with an offense that was routinely incapable of scoring more than 14 points. Playing with a lead puts the defense in a completely different position, and allows for more risk taking.

I mean, come on guys ... have you not seen Rogers and Landry being made fools of out there on double moves this year? What's Blache supposed to do ... Rogers gets beat deep even with a 10 yard cushion, and often times, Landry is not in position to defend over the top?

All in all, keeping the defense just the way it is and finding the formula for putting 20+ point on the board each week would see this team highly competitive.

Now get your bows and arrows out guys, cuz I know I'm in for it on this next statement, but say what you will, Cerrato has done better over the past two years than Gibbs did (personnel wise).

The emergence of Davis, Thomas & Kelly, and Orakpo .... Haynesworth ... the patchwork o-line and improving while losing both Portis and Betts on offense tells me that some here are judging based on past history, and not present accomplishments.

You don't get beat deep if your attacking front 7 get to the QB...

No worries mate. If it was worth my time, I would get up excited and ready to argue endlessly. But it isn't.

Sorry.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Anything to defeat the Evil Empire, Pulp.

I have been fighting this Rebellion far too long to take a break now.

But QB pressure has not really been our problem this year. . .

OK - we all know that Cerrato is on record as saying that the group of players and coaches that were here at the begining of the year were capable of making the playoffs - how did that work out?
we also know that the reason that we have had high draft picks in the past and are most likely going to again is due to the success (OR lack thereof) of this franchise on the field - why should we not consider that?
we also know that there were 5 or 6 teams that wanted Haynesworth and almost got him; I think the main reason we ended up with him is not because of Cerrato OR anything to do with on-the field things but maybe most likely Snyder's wallet - what about that is really good personnel management?

so I ask you - what recent accomplishments should we be encouraged about that mitigate the facts - why should we think that because a bunch of guys have played well recently and against some teams that are flat out bad or having bad games - what part of this season really makes you think that these 2 bozos can put a consistently competitive product on the field in the near future - we now are hearing that Snyder & Cerrato are insisting that certain players that are not playing well, be utilized

the players and coaches have for the maost part played well recently - but these were not the guys OR the offensive schemes that Cerrato thought were "playoff capable"

please explain why you, or anybody, thinks these 2 bozos are capable of putting a consistently competitive product on the field - why should a few weeks make anyone forget 10 years - this franchise is going to continue to be mediocre until we make the change in how we manage the franchise
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
