... I hate to burst your bubble.
It is true, as most sensible posters in this board have maintained. that Jason Campbell is NOT a terrible QB. It is also true, as most sensible posters in this board have maintained, that he is not and will never be a franchise QB.
JC Campbell is a serviceable QB, which is not the main reason for the failures of our team. He has been both unfairly made to look as the world's worst or defended as the QB of the future. He is neither. Both extreme sets of views miss the point.
The OL is still a WORK IN PROGRESS at best. Some posters have began to argue that the foundations of a lasting OL are there. I disagree and I disagree particularly when it comes to measure it against DLs of other teams in the NFC East. This OL could barely slow down the Pukes rush and Philthy had a field day chasing Jason.
The new kicker impressed but ... quite frankly ... Suisham results have not been surpassed by the new guy. There is a lot to see before Gano gets anointed as better than Suisham.
I like the effort, I love the spirit shown over the last 3 or 4 games. But this conduct also seems to REMIND us about the chronic inconsistency of this team, which always seems to want to play up or down to the level of the competition. So if we play a tough opponent in the NFC East fine but if we play the Lions of the Rams ....

Some VERY GOOD pieces of the puzzle are in place BUT we have always had VERY GOOD pieces in this puzzle. The true point of improvement of this franchise is about fundamental change at the top and I hate to burst your happy bubble after such a definitive win, even if we remind ourselves that it was against one of the weakest and more dysfunctional franchises in the entire NFL, BUT unless a competent and empowered GM is appointed to run this franchise ...
... we will suffer the same ups and downs ending up in mediocre records at the end of the season.
So, nothing has changed. This is still the same team that can win a few and lose a few. Certainly Not a team with the brains, knowledge and experience at the top of the Front Office which can deliver a COMPLETE and CONSISTENT WINNING TEAM.
I am happy with this ONE win. I am happy with a few gutsy performances. But it is still a long way from being and calling ourselves WINNERS.
Caution my friends. No Superbowl chanting yet.
