Fletcher to Pro Bowl Website

Hey, so I wanted to see if anyone on here knows how to build a website. I was thinking that as a group, maybe we could great a website promoting London being picked to go to the probowl. Mainly, i think it would mean a lot. I also think that it would be a really good marketing tool for this site because I'm sure that I could get someone to mention it on TV like NFL Network (I have friends who work there and I email back in forth a lot with Mike Wise).

I'd be willing to chip in also to help cover the costs and if everybody can on here, it would be rather cheap.

If anyone can do this, I'm sure London would greatly appreciate it.

I'm totally with you, he's one of if not our most valuable player. Not best player, most valuable. Not having him on any given Sunday scares me more then anyone else right now. But he's not going to the pro-bowl, not ever, because you don't get there for that reason any more then you go to the HOF for a career of that reason. I truly wish it were otherwise.

Not that it will make a bit of difference! Susan Lucci... er... I mean Fletcher isn't going to make the pro-bowl on a 3-9 team. He has no INts (has has his chances), no fumble recoveries, and no, or virtually no, sacks.

I think he should be a pro-bowl, but if I was a fan of another team, there would be no way I would vote for him.

...and that's why I think that with a little promotion out there, he could be voted in.

London Fletcher has been one of the best linebackers in the league this decade but he doesn't have a Pro Bowl to show for it. As his former coach with the Rams, Mike Martz, pointed out on the NFL Network recently, Fletcher's numbers are virtually the same as Ray Lewis' during the past 10 seasons.

Meanwhile, Lewis has nine Pro Bowls to Fletcher's zero. It's an injustice that fans, coaches and players need to address in the Pro Bowl voting this season. Fletcher's having another excellent season, so it's time to finally reward him with a trip to Hawaii. Redskins Pro Bowl tight end Chris Cooley had an interesting take on the Pro Bowl during a recent appearance on DC101:

"It's a tough position to get recognized, and it's tough, because every year you'll have guys that are creating more turnovers and more big plays, and not doing as many of the every-down things, but they have more shock value in what they're doing," said Cooley via D.C. Sports Bog. "And even though they're not as consistent, the fans vote, and the players vote, and a lot of times when the actual players vote it's not taken as seriously as it should be. And so I think the biggest vote is the coaches' vote, because they watch the most film and they're more serious about who they're voting for.

"And a lot of times players on teams will be like, 'Oh yeah, don't vote for him because we want our guy to make it, we think that guy will make it so don't vote for him.' You can't vote for your own team, but I would assume our tight end and offensive line group will vote for almost no-name middle linebackers. It's a weird political kind of vote thing. The Pro Bowl doesn't always work out the way it should .... Anyway, we'll see what happens. I really hope London makes it. It is a huge honor. I felt a huge honor when I got voted there. He deserves it. I watch a lot of guys on film. He deserves to be there."

Even the immortal Susan Lucci finally broke through and won an Emmy several years ago. Now, it's Fletcher's turn.

I disagree with this somewhat. There are certainly times in his career when Fletcher deserved to make it, however, last year and this season are not those years. Willis and Lofton both have more solo tackles, total tackles, and forced fumbles than Fletcher. If they take three MLB then he certainly deserves to go. Not sure that he deserves to make it in over either Lofton or Willis though.

I think that he should go because he should've gone in previous years. Also, with our d line vs the others, for him to be making plays instead of the dline show's he's attacking the ball. Forcing fumbles is great and all but I don't think that's enough to change my mind.

I'm looking more at the number of tackles.

Willis: 123 total (88 solo)
Lofton: 115 total (92 solo)
Fletcher 109 total (67 solo)

I would love to see him get in. Just not sure that he "deserves" it over Willis and Lofton.

He's had at least one pick this year. Or, that is to say, I can recall one. Was it the Dallas game? (I think he had 2 'in the hands' chances at a pick that day, and only pulled in one of them, IIRC)

Sadly he is on the decline and we'll need a MLB in the next years or two...but he been one of the, if not the best pickup in the DS era

I think HB Blades has shown he can make some plays. Of course, we'll need a backup though but I have been impressed when he's been on the field.

Patrick Willis is a freak and deserves to go every year. Hopefully Fletcher can find a way to get in over Lofton. There is no question he should have made it by now, but there is nothing wrong with not being in pro bowls when you have numbers to back up what a great player you are. If Rolando McClain gets drafted by an NFC team, that could REALLY complicate Fletcher making it in the future.
