I don't blame Suisham. I blame Cerrato and Zorn for this. Suisham has been garbage most of his career. The guy led the NFL in missed kicks last season. He had no business being on the team this season.
LoL, then there you go, no accountability. Vinny is the problem sure, but he isn't the one kicking a chip shot, heck, vinny might've made that kick.

I agree that there is no accountability with this team. If there was Suisham would be cut and LL and Sellers would get sat on the bench for next week, which should happen. Jimmy Johnson once cut a guy on the flight home for fumbling. "Stay Medium" Zorn and clueless Vinny, on the other hand, just let things go.
What I was trying to point out in my previous post is that Suisham sucks and has no business being the kicker of this team. It shouldn't surprise people that he choked bc he isn't very good.
I have a hard time being upset with Sellers. He blew the play but based on what we've heard about his health, it makes a lot of sense getting hit in the legs (he was already injured and blood was pooling in his leg) and he makes the fumble.
I think we just didn't have luck on our side yesterday.
Does Danny Smith teach his player to sit still in a crouch when the PR is yelling poison?? Would the better thing be to run like hell away from the PR or better yet your close to the sideline just run out od bounds!!
He's a rook playing his second game, he's only 30 yds downfield. What's the chance, in general, of being hit by a punt 30 yds off of the LoS? He squatted. Textbook? No, but I wouldn't say it was the dumbest thing I saw on Sunday.
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.
The punt was awful and the chance of that happening is slim to none. Think about it. As soon as he heard them say "Uncle" or whatever the call is, he ducked and attempted to get out of the way. He was doing his job. You have to remember that there is a lot of info to process in your mind. His job was blocking the gunner. He was doing his job and it was like 1, 2, 3 and bam it hurt us but I'm not going to tell him to do anything different on future plays.

Clock.
A lame respone (sorry, nothing personal). They scored in 33 seconds. Saving 40 wouldn't matter. But I'll even give you the clock excuse for first down and second down. On third down however the time at the snap was 2:04 so a pass attempt into the endzone would have taken the clock to the 2-minute warning just as the run did so there was no clock edge in running on 3rd down. The 2nd-down run should have been between the hash marks and 3rd down should have been a pass attempt for a TD. To play in fear of throwing a pick on that 3rd down is to play like it's figure skating compulsories instead of football and to to run for the sake of clock on that 3rd down is illogical.

I think they honestly thought they could have scored on the running play. If it were me, I would have thrown on 1st, and ran on 2nd and 3rd because that's totally different then what we've done all season. I wouldn't have thrown a fade route b/c we haven't ran that effectively all sesaon. I would have ran the one play that's consistently worked which is the TE drag route along the back side of the end zone to Yoder. JC roll's right and hit's Yoder in the back of the end zone. JC is able to get away from pressure, there are 3 options there and then you have the option to hit someone on the other side of the field (left) which is the last resort. Just my fav. red zone play this past two years.

It is amazing to me how much better we are playing with some of our biggest money players not in the game. We have played more like a team lately than we have all year. It seems to me that the younger players are bustin hump and getting results without all the "look at me". I also think this team believes in Zorn. I think he stays another year and maybe we bring in a OC. Laron "double move" Landry and Rogers are killin us every week......and we should consider letting Hunter Smith take over field goals under 25 yards....he seems to do everything else. Regardless I love my Skins, and always will. This loss IMO is the worst I have ever seen in 25 years as a Skins fan.......Snatched defeat from the jaws of victory again.
You guys have a great team and should be proud of your defense minus LL and Jason Campbell. I love Laron bc of LSU but he takes the bait every time. Hard hitter. I think brees said it best post game. Maybe it's our time to get the calls and good luck. The skins are right around the corner. I bet they go all offense in the draft and build a solid team. Great game guys. Hope Sellers is ok.
Why shouldn't we be proud of JC's performance yesterday? He had a career best day once again vs the Saints. He had the INT but he put the team in the position to win yesterday on several occasions and the defense couldn't stop them.

OK but to say that lost the game is just speculation IMO
You're right! Just like saying the world isn't going to end tomorrow. I'm not really sure if the world will end tomorrow or not, but there are pretty darn good odds it won't!
FG at that point wins the game almost as sure as the sun will come up the day after tomorrow!

I don't think is that assured...The Saints scored in 33 seconds there was 1:19 left your assuming we recover the on-sides kick??? What do you think has a higher probability a kicker kicking a 23 yards FG on being able to recover a on-sides kick??

However, anyone could see that "fumble" by Sellars was close... it was time for him to go no huddle, call the play at the line, and go for it. He was the ONLY one who could do that at that point. This is poor game awareness, and cannot, I think, be cured. The ultimate outcome would likely have been the same, but at least we would have kept the ball.
Please. Was WWII his fault too because he did not have the awareness to be born 70 years earlier and kill Hitler?
Shallow thinking does not become you, but I guess living in Philly can do that to a person.
I have been saying that this is his primary deficiency since last year. It is the reason that he is unable to function when the game has come down to a few plays. It is why he does not have the ability to bring a team back from the brink... as today.
The reason we lost the game was LL blowing coverage, Swishy being swishiy, and any number of bounces and breaks that went, unfailingly, the Saints way.
Campbells deficiency DID NOT cost us the game... It DID cost us the ability to salvage it. Had the situation been reversed, and that was Brees in that situation, you can bet that he'd have been screaming NO HUDDLE the second the whistle blew.
No, the #1 ranked team in the NFL's colors are black and white.
The guidance the officials get from the league, regarding reversals, requires clear evidence in order to overturn... while you and I can agree that they made the wrong call... the original call gets the weight. The evidence wasn't there to reverse. Can't blame the officials.
Couldn't you blame them for not getting the call right in the first place?

In hind sight as I see the rule...it appears the officials did us a favor by blowing the whistle otherwise it looked as if the Saints defender had a clear path to the endzone??

Yep, I just watched it again. Clear as day, the ball hit the ground once and possibly twice! Should have been 4th and 26 on the Skins 44 and the Saints punting!
Also, it is clear that the Skins recovered the kick of that the Saints failed to field in the 4th qtr. The Skins had the ball prior to the whistle and never gave it up.
The more I look at the Seller fumble the more I'm convince of two things. First, replay was inconclusive as to when the ball came out and second, the Saints player the "recovered the fumble" merely picked it up to flip it to the ref.

Start the Tebow bandwagon, if Vinny is still here come time to pick and Tebow is there, he will take him just so we can sell friggin tickets.
