One of the most spectacular, colossal, improbable, unbelievable losses in a while. And for THIS team, that's saying something.
There are so many things wrong with this thing that it would make me sad to list them all.
The off-season gets closer and closer. And I can't wait. I just hope and pray that there is an ABSOLUTE BLOOD BATH in terms of people getting fired and losing their roster spots.

If you can't make an extra-point-distance field goal to ice the game for your team, you should be kicking rocks, not footballs. Ocho Cinco makes that kick.Countertrey wrote:BeeGee wrote:He's been there, done that already. 3 games in '05 and 3 in '06Countertrey wrote:Swishy... Needs to kick for Dallas.
I know... which is all the more reason he should be there again...
From what I have seen, if Ocho Cinco weren't a WR, he could be an NFL kicker...

Wow, we've got a Dallas fan on our Boards.... that's very odd... but OK!
Check his post count... Where have YOU been, is the question! LOL
Sidenote: I hope you guys get all this offense out out your system before we get to DC. The Saints Efense had no answer today. The int that Campbell threw hurt to watch because I can't help but admit that I'm pulling for that guy. This year has had to take years off of the lives of many Skins fans, man. A journey through frustration.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)

This game was one bad Saint punt away from being a win... you really can't blame that on anyone. Karma must love the Saints.

Landry is frustrating to watch. The dude is a great talent, in my humble, but he's got the same boneheaded mentality that Roy Williams had for us. He seems to be more concerned with knocking snot-bubbles out of receivers than making fundamental plays. And like Williams, he is increasingly an easy target for the big play. I think he's definitely better than Roy Williams overall, but dude needs someone to coach him up and take him back to the basics. Some of the things he does out there are inexcusable.
SIDENOTE:
ey would've had 200yds receiving and 2tds today.

IMO he has no place being our FS going forward. He might be redeemable as a SS, but I'd bet that most likely what is best for the team at this point is to let him go. (At least, I think he's in a contract year.) Give me a hungry player trying to make it in the league over the guy who just wants to be on ESPN.
One bad punt, one fluky interception-fumble, one terrible kick.. it just didn't come together.
The defense and offense both played a heck of a game. Thomas is finally looking like a gamer, and that's something this team's needed for a long time. Kelly and Mitchell still can't get open, but they're young. Davis needs to learn to catch balls thrown above his numbers.
This team needs new bodies at OT and FS, and I'd like to see more depth at DT (Daniels and Alexander don't really count), but the idea that the Skins need to blow up and start over still seems ridiculous on its face.
The big question now is what to do with Zorn. It's as obvious that he was in over his head with the playcalling as it is that the players look to him as a leader. I think Snyder needs to be very, very careful in evaluating any change there.

Agreed on all fronts.

To be fair to the Skins, we went into this game missing one backup DT and then lost 3 DTs to injury in the game.

Agreed, but at the end of the day I think Zorn needs to go. However, whether Zorn stays or leaves is irrelevant, IMO, until the nameplates on the door of the owner's and GM's offices change. Not even Joe Gibbs can turn this team into a consistent winner with Danny and Vinny around.

Landry celebrates more than any defensive player ive ever seen. Aside form Lavar Arrington who would run half way down the other side of the field like a jackass after a sack. Just thinking of Lavar makes me want to vomit. But anyways yeah, Landry, knock it off dude.
Support the troops, especially our snipers.

It's ok. I can.
It's hard for me to get very mad at anything, at this point.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
The good news is I believe we found a RG next year. MW played well today and should start from here out. 1st rounder is still LT, 2nd rounder maybe a CB? I would still like a C but that can wait.
Mike/Bruce - If your going to spring big this year in Free Agency, please spring big on offensive lineman! I cant watch Rabach anymore!

Yeah. That's really all I'm saying. When you've only got 4 DTs on the roster and only 3 dress in most games, it's hard. I don't think we'll see Daniels on the field again next year, and it needs to be a DT that takes his roster spot.
I wish our depth at CB were better, but that's not hugely realistic. Westbrook had a pretty good game today, Tryon's taken steps; but any time a team is missing 2 (or 3, like last week) players at a single position, it's not going to look good.

Countertrey wrote:Campbell gets decent protection today. The 3 step drops helped a lot, I think. However, anyone could see that "fumble" by Sellars was close... it was time for him to go no huddle, call the play at the line, and go for it. He was the ONLY one who could do that at that point. This is poor game awareness, and cannot, I think, be cured. The ultimate outcome would likely have been the same, but at least we would have kept the ball.
Please. Was WWII his fault too because he did not have the awareness to be born 70 years earlier and kill Hitler?

Not going to call a conspiracy but the NFL preferred the NO win vs the Skins win.
