Gray should be up for the Redskins job...

Does he really want to leave the Skins? Trying to find greener pastures.

Jerry is probably getting the job. Too bad, I like Gray and think he could be our next DC or HC. Oh well

Absolutely not. The new GM/coach need to clean house and get rid of every coach currently on staff. It's time to start over.

Absolutely not, the Defense is great. No GM is going to just chuck a great defense out the window, some things inevitably carry over. the Offense will look completely different but if we get a GM then Snyder isn't in charge and Snyder is the only one who decides "if it ain't broke, tinker with it"

There is nothing wrong with this defense that a somewhat more aggressive DC wouldn't fix.

Tossing the whole defensive staff would be...

INCORRECT. That's just total overkill.

I don't know if any of our current coaches will survive but mark my words, if most or all of the defensive staff is retained, we will once again be disfunctional. Here's why -- it means Danny told the new HC to keep the defensive coaches...sort of like Zorn with Blatche.

If Danny doe the right thing (hahahaha) and hires a quality GM who then hires a HC who then hires his staff, then I think we'll be fine. Any good defensive coach can make this unit work. We have talent on the defensive side of the ball. It won't require knowledge of rocket science to make this unit play well.

Our offense needs:
1) 3 starting quality OL;
2) Rb; and
2) All new coaches.

I would say that if Grey can move on it might be in his best interest but he may also just not want to get out of the NFL - not sure what is going on with this defense, while the stats indicate a top ranked defense, I think we'll see some coaching changes here as well
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Washington Redskins secondary coach Jerry Gray had been a favorite for the job, but Memphis apparently chose to go in another direction.

Gray is not going to be the next Head Coach at Memphis. So I guess we will continue to see more 15 yd cushions by our CBs in DC.

welcome to the site - Jerry does not make that call, he is just the secondary coach - I hope that he's still here next year :)

Thanks for the welcome.

Its falls on both Blache and Gray imo. They both have a direct roll with the CBs. One of them needs to realize it doesnt work and it flat out doesnt make sense.

I also said what I said b/c Blache might not be back next year. I got a feeling Gray might be. Since he has a direct roll in the CBs being the secondary coach I dont see the CB cushion ending anytime soon.

Jerry Gray is staying for the Skins for now. He is NOT going to Memphis according to Comcast sportsnews.
