Unless I missed it, he didn't bring him up. Maybe used him as an example and I tuned out, but I didn't hear him bring LJ up at all. A lot on Clinton, and I agree with him 100%. At some point, I hope we only play players who practice. It shows on the field

My recap:
Problems
1. the way the team was put together
- OL and backups go in with the wrong attitude, not job hungry
- Injuries and no depth
- Fred Davis wrong hands, needed to prepare him more during the preseason
- CP hurt but his problem is lack of practice
2. LJ is not a good choice
3. A lot of Reality TV and no preparation to stop Turner
4. D'Angelo Hall - How long did it take for others to defend him?
5. Too many people with personal agendas but no team.
Play calling
1. experimet did not work with 3 cooks in the kitchen
2. FO to be blamed for this mess. Vinny Cerrato and D. Snyder to blame
Laron Landry ... bad tackling - lowering his head - not tackling - poor training camps.
NMitch hates MEDIOCRITY
Some players have No respect for the history of the Skins
They must understand that they are Working for their jobs.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I know there are some on here that are much better than I am with the review but here are the main points...
The Skins are a soap opera.
We have a team full of individuals, and nowhere near a team. Seems that you have a bunch of players who are well paid at skill positions and a line that was forgotten about for a decade. These skilled players play with their own agenda's. Used Hall as an example and I never really thought of it the way he explained it. Hall is over on the sideline backing up Landry (or taking his frustration out on his old team) after the late hit, and starts yappin at a bunch of Falcons. He doesn't put his team first in that situation. He should have pulled Landry out...and then Big Al comes over and does the same. Could of cost them both an ejection and a game misconduct. It's an off the field incident and shouldn't have even occured. He points out that it took a minute or two for ANYONE to come to his aid, and when someone finally did, it was only a few players. Could that have been that he has alienated his teammates so much that they don't care about him as a teammate, or is it that every other player is not much of a teammate? No one is playing for each other, everyone is playing for themselves. Pretty interesting way to think about it.
There is no dicipline on the team and that starts with the coaches.
Spoke at length about Snyder and how he should have apologised to the fans directly. He didn't last week. He talked around it, but never came right out and said sorry. Suggests that the owner should restate his apology. Went on and bashed the teams ban on signs. When the team was being praised by signs, there was no objection, but as soon as they field a crap team, the signs are banned. Mentioned a few times that Snyder has the most loyal fan base and he better start righting this ship. Said that once the fans are lost or uninterested and no longer spending money on the team, which is close, this franchise could be in big trouble.
Spent a ton of time talking about Portis and how the offense started looking like a professional offense when Portis went down. He attributes that to Portis's attitude. He always has the attitude that he doesn't have to practice, or play in the preseason. All the reps go to the backups and so when they get in, they know the strengths and weaknesses of the O-line and are able to see the holes rather than run into blocks or bounce it outside and get tackled for no gain. (In my opinion, this attitude has carried over to the entire franchise and has infected it, but I've only been saying this for 2 years now...he's a cancer, and when he has a direct voice to the owner, other players can't speak out about it. I think Zorn is in the same predicament). Went on to say he won't be with the team before his contract runs out and doesn't think there is any team out there that will ask for his services. He said that if he were him, he would start playing or this could be his last year in the NFL.
Talked about how he thought in preseason that Marco Mitchell was the second best receiver on the team and is finally being rewarded by his play. Every backup from here on in should be played because he see's a full scale overhaul in the offseason. We should know who the players are that we want to keep. Praised Fletcher. Praised Heyer for playing so hard for the team. He's out of position, playing hurt and trying to play a position that Vinny didn't address. Now we have nobody to play right tackle. Praised Betts and Cartright. Fred Davis caused the interception and needs to hold onto the ball.
Went off on Blache for breaking his media ban to defend Snyder. Shouldn't he be talking about the upcoming game and how they are going to stop the Falcons. The guy was not prepared.
The three headed play calling is broken. On a play he mentioned (I'm not sure which one he was talking about), you could see Zorn extremely upset and you saw him say "I wanted a pass". Then on the 4th and 1 play to Sellers, you saw him after the play blew up, and he was pissed because he called that play (I suspected that). That's on Vinny and Dan for creating this mess.
Talked about tackling and how poor Landry is. Out of 10 tackles, he may make 2. Landry wants to be this big hitter but just dives into players with his head down and never see's what he is hitting. Hall is worse and just dives at the ground to avoid contact. He asked Jerry Grey what the tackling drills are for preseason and didn't get an answer. Turner should never have racked up the yards he did.
I probably missed some things, but I did my best. Over and out.

When that donnybrook broke out i was thinking the same thing.
I've said it numerous times, this is the problem with our team. No fire. You NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER let your comrade get in that situation alone, NEVER. He was alone over ther a good 15 seconds or more. Damn, Dirty 30, he was over ther because of you, where the * were you?!?!?
I hate to say it, but when Joe Gibbs left, we lost the 'core Redskin' concept with few exceptions. Haynesworth, Fletcher, Rogers, and EVENTUALLY Landry came back.
Knowing how Hall felt about this game, this should have cleared the bench seeing him in that sea of Red. Disgusts me.

Amen brother.
A team can be at the bottom of the barrel in the standings, the personal stats may be garbage, there may not be a SINGLE game to win for the rest of the season ...
BUT YOU STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH YOUR MATES !!!
I do not necessarily mean to be stupid and take unnecessary penalties or start new fights BUT you defend your fellow player by ANY means necessary. I was ready to mix it up and I was watching the TV for God's sake !!! I may have taken it on the Atlanta water boy but with my black belt and 15 years experience in competition, he was DONE.
Joe Gibbs would never have encouraged his players to fight. He would have asked them to pay back ON THE FIELD with fire in their gut.

I agree totally. It's been expressed that football's comraderie may only be bested by the Armed Forces, and that wasn't expressed in the ATL game.

I spent a little time in the Australian military and played a little rugby growing up - the 'team' concept and having the knowledge that someone is supporting you and not wanting to let anyone around you down is something that cannot be underestimated - this group of players are not what we would call a team
On a slightly different tack, but along the same lines - I am a little surprised to hear that players in the NFL might play on Sunday but are not required to participate fully in the practices during the week
what's up with that? - is that something that is also happening with other teams - I thought that the unwritten 'policy' was, if you could not practice you did not play? maybe the old adage about playing like you practice is out of whack with today's players but aren't the coaches in charge?

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

And did you catch Fred Davis” post game comments on the Oline blocking??
He said well “I did well there..I’m glad at least I did my job” I don’t think you’d hear a Joe Gibbs coached player say that.

You could see it that way, and I initially did. Compare his performance last week to this week. He's proud of himself that he improved on what he worked on in the bye week. He could have put it better, but you gotta let the rooks build a little personal confidence. Not everyone can have the demeanor Orakpo does.
