Post by tribeofjudah »

Ok, all this talk about how great our 2ndary is. D hall, Roger, Smoot...all playing soft off the line. LL 30, Horton and 37 all got schooled by a young eagles WR core...... Our pass rush sucked last year.

OK....so we Fixed the pass rush with Carter, Fat Al, Wilson, Orakpo all stepping up. Reed 37 is pretty good at blitzing.

Pass rushed FIXED..........2ndary is lagging (I pretty much hate our 2ndary because I know they can do better)

Greg Williams - wow, we could probably use him right about NOW.

The crazy part is they had the angle on him and DeShaun still smoked them, terrible attempt by Rogers to do anything about that too.

I really cant stand this zone they are playing. Teams are picking us apart. Not sure about that deep pass to DeSahun either.

The one thing that pissed me off is he laughed about it. You need to look at yourself Rogers. You are not worth another contract. You can't cover. You can't even defend a pass b/c you get blown by in coverage. Just go somewhere else and improve b/c that's how it normally works.

Carlos Rodgers SUCKS!!

Wow... I haven't played in few years, but I guarantee I could do a better job of coverage.

Dude is soooo lost out there. Sit his arse down. Can we get Springs back... anything... please!!

unfortunately Springs is succeeding in NE. I guess we didn't see the value there....like always. I can only name about a dozen guys who are successful once they leave here b/c we didn't see the value in the player a la Ryan Clark in Pitt, etc.

Watch Comcast and see what Rogers said: "we just need a break from football, all of us, coaches as well"

Come ON.. you're a pro? you get paid more in one contract than I will make in 10-15 years and you just smile and gloat when you get burned....

You absolutely suck mr 22.

A loser's mentality from Rogers. I like Fred Davis' attitude better...he said that he was going to stay in town over the bye week and work on his blocking. That's the type of attitude we need on this team.

Blame Blache for 10 yds off the ball on 3rd and short, not the backs. It's hard to do much but tackle with the position Blache is putting the backs in. Bend don't break is broken.

True, but how do you explain the 2nd QTR, Iggles 3rd and forever... Carlos playing 15yds of tech. Then lets the reciever get by him for the TD?

I'm not breaking it down play by play, but the scheme issues. I thought that was kinda obvious.

I want to believe that Gregg is forced to play them this way. How aggressive can you be and how much gambling can you do when your offense can barely get into double digits on most games? This defense may not be as good as it's #5 ranking implies due to opposing teams letting up off the gas due to our offensive ineptitude... But I feel like this defense could be doing a lot more if we were playing 10 and 14 point leads....

That's nice in an alternate universe, but let's talk about this one. Pit won with their scoring defense this past weekend. Philly won with blitzing. We're not doing either. There's no killer instinct. There's no play to win mentality, as BMitch said last nite on ComCast postgame, and until we do have it, then this IS what we are. We are a bend, don't break defense, and that's not a winning defense, that's relying on the offense to win the game, and ours obviously can't do it.

really, my point was that it was execution. He was playing off tech. means you keep the guy in front, bend to give up a 1st down break and give up a TD... He broke. He was blocked off by a WR also in a play that went in for a TD, if your playing off tech. you should see the block coming and adjust to it. Blache is playing them off because the CB's suck and he knows it. Playing off would be a lot better than getting blow up at the LOS. Honestly I think Blache sux, and so do the CBs.

I think that he just doesn't trust either Hall or Rogers. Can't say that I blame him, both are vastly overrated.

You gotta create pressure somewhere, and status quo ain't cutting it. An occasional safety blitz isn't going to cut it. We need balls out blitzes (something to interrupt timing plays) or this is all we are. You have to interrupt the timing of these fast guys or you're screwed. We're not interrupting anything but Redskins fans heartbeats.

 3rd and forever... 2 deep zone... who blew the coverage????

Answer: Horton, who bit BIG TIME on a pump fake towards the right.

Hall is not, and has never been, a "shut down" corner. His specialty is jumping routes... that's what he does. He needs some space so he can diagnose. This type of off coverage is perfect for him.

Rogers, however, should be much closer to the line.

I do not feel that you can play pressure on one side and soft on the other at the same time. This was a safety issue. Horton misread the play.

Does it matter that much? I do not think so. We all knew they would score. The question was: Would WE score more than the proverbial 17 point ceiling? The answer is NO.

So, a team which cannot score more than 17 on ANY opponent should not be regarded as anything else but the bottom feeders of the NFL.

Yes, the eagles, steelers all do back to back blitzes several times a game... they did one last night to us. And it put jcam on his ARSE....
