Actually, it's easier to sell a screen with a marginal O-line. Think about it... your goal is to convince the pass rushers that they have beaten the blocking, and have the qb on the run. If you have a poor line, it's certainly more believable than if your line is know to be solid as a rock. You only need 2 seconds of release and additional penetration by 2 or more linemen to make it work, as your blockers form in front of the intended receiver. Hopefully, they now have a free shot at the linebackers.
Much depends also on the aggressiveness of the D line in pursuit, as well... a very aggressive pass rush can fall victim to a screen more easily than one that focuses on containment. I don't think Philly has been that aggressive this year... otoh, the game film they are working from won't show much "screen pass"...

believable yes. done correctly? that is a sight to be seen... a bad O line could definatly sell that they got beat, our guys do it every week!! but accomplishing a screen??? ill believe it when i see it.

i agree.....we suck at third down......why take our best player off the field (especially at blocking which clinton has a passion for)....at the very least hed be a good decoy
