B. Mitch nails it
I wish more people with the football knowledge and insight of B.Mitch could somehow be involved in straightening out this franchise. I am tired of a team with no GM, no real voice that can tell Snyder "No", spending money is not "the fix". No, don't trade away your draft picks for another over-priced, flashy band-aid of a player. No, don't re-sign or restructure another under-performing veteran for another back-loaded 7 year deal that won't end until they're 40. No, don't ignore your O-line, your special teams, your backups and overall depth.

Forward and fair. I wouldn't quite call the backups 'garbage' but as a whole, there's deifinitely something left to be desired.

If there are two good OT's, you can move the other to the blind side when one goes down. Also, it is possible to find a backup that has been in the league and knows what they are doing most years. For instance, Heyer should be a third OT, at best.

I dunno. I think that Heyer, Mike Williams, and Batiste certainly fall in the "garbage" category.
Mike Williams actually played reasonably well last week, and the week before.
The problem is, the tune up games are all done... this won't be pretty.

"Question: A couple of young guys, too, though. Brian Orakpo --
Mitchell: Brian Orakpo, if you put his hand on ground, I guarantee you he'd have 15 sacks a year. He's got what, three so far? He's doing that and he's not doing pass rush full-time; what would he be doing if he was full-time pass rusher? He won all those college awards because he was a pass rusher, not because he was checking tight ends."
This is what I have been saying for some time now. This defensive line, outside say Haynesworth, Chris Wilson, and Jeremy Jarmon are getting old and have been unproductive. Andre Carter is leading the team in sacks right not but he's never been a world beater in his position.
Brian Orakpo is next coming of "Dexter Manley" (on the field of course).... But this organization is too dumb to see that. We have the opportunity to have a big-time DE on our time like the Giants, Cowboys, Vikings, Ravens, etc. have. Right now, you have enough young guys on defense to build around if you put dynamic and energetic coaches around them to coach them. If you wanted to make Orakpo a LB then you should have switched to a 3-4 defense. He is one of those players like Sean Taylor and even Lavar, that is few and far between.
Right now, you have Celek coming Monday Night. I watched Scheffler just carve of the Bears safeties and linebackers last night for Denver. He's on the schedule. Shockey and the high powered Nawlin's offense is on the schedule. Witten/Bennett are coming twice.. Gonzalez is reborn with Matt Ryan in Atlanta. Then you have Gates for San Diego. By the time we get him, he and Rivers will be rolling.
So once again, another organizational blunder happening right before our eyes. Now a "football guy" is saying the same thing I have been saying. Go figure...

We count on you to become our voice. Honesty is highly appreciated.
Thanks for your support.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

listened into the show today and totally agree with Brian - this team needs to show that they can play with desire - it's bad enough that we are 2-5 but the worst part about this season is that the players do not seem to be playing with a great deal of intensity - this Sunday in Atlanta it would be nice to see some of these guys show that they are special and will not be denied -
it's time for Portis to show that he's a great RB and great RBs do not always run behind the best lines
it's time for our secondary to step up - we have 1 interception, c'mon guys
it's time for Campbell to show that spirit he aluded to before the season - be the QB you claim you are
and it's time for these coaches to give these players a chance to win rather than almost playing like you're afraid to lose
I know that this team has not been put together very well but these are very talented athletes and they all need to come to play this week
we may not win 8 games this year but let's see these players give a little better effort out on the field - we deserve more effort from this team
great show BMitch - I'm looking forward to Monday's show as well - will that be at 4 pm also?

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
