There is going to be a new HC and someone is going to be willing to put up with this situation - the 'bigger' the name the more he will get but someone is going to take this job and we will all be told that things are going to be 'different' around here from now on ......... again

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Both their egos were too big under the same building.SKINFAN wrote:I really wish he just promoted GW when he had a chance... And kept Al Saunders, between the two we would've fielded a competitive team.
The only person keeping them together in DC was Joe Gibbs.
I really don't see Gruden or Cowher coming here under our current front office structure. Not even with millions of dollars thrown at their feet. These dudes don't need any more money. They live a pretty good life already.
I'd rather see a young NFL coordinator take the HC position. Someone like Russ Grimm would be absolutely fantastic.

Exaggerate much?

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

The truth is transparent to most, but this tactic is still needed at times.

Those Ego's would've been enough to keep guys playing fierce though, and maybe enough to counter the Vinny momentum... Young unproven maybe not a coordinator is our current coach. I'd rather have old school than this new school we've got.

Maybe both could have countered Vinny, agreed. The problem is you would have too many cooks in the kitchen. Gibbs was big enough to slim their egos down and make them work efficiently (more or less).SKINFAN wrote:El Mexican wrote:Both their egos were too big under the same building.SKINFAN wrote:I really wish he just promoted GW when he had a chance... You can't compare Grimm to Zorn, Skinsfan. The first takes pride in being a Skin, Zorn has just tried to achieve success for himself, trying to implement his system with personnel that is clearly not suited to run it. With Grimm you would know what is coming: Redskins football.
Here are some other interesting tidbits about the former Hog:
1) He was already coached the Skins (1992-2000) as TE, then as OL coach. You could argue that he had a hand in developing Jon Jansen and Chris Samuels.
2) He was instrumental in the Steeler's SB victory of 2005 as OL coach. Joined them in 2000 and became Assistant HC/OL in 2004.
3) He then went to Arizona as Assistant HC/OL and has had a pretty good run over there, as we all know.
This is clearly a better résumé than Zorn's and was clearly superior a couple of years ago when Zorn came to DC.
I understand that Snyder wanted to emulate JKC when he hired Zorn. He wanted his own "who the hell is Joe Gibbs?" moment.
But it's time to get real. Time to stop this WCO nonsense. Return to Redskins football!
somebody is going to do and agree to anything to be a HC here and I guarantee that next offseason the team will be selling how competitive this team is going to be in 2010
I remember 2 years ago thinking that we just needed a couple of good drafts and a couple of good free agents and ..... well, here we are

We came to play today - except there were a few that just arn't talented enough to play. I don't think it was a matter of execution today. I think we were overmatched in talent today. Their D line killed our O line. JC ran for his life in the 1st half and TC kept getting hit the 2nd half and sacked.

Did you see the kind of pass rush Denver put on Phillip Rivers tonight. JC hasn't faced anything even close to that this year.
Considering who we had playing OL Sunday, I would say JC faced very little pass rush. Although they certainly figured out their pass rush in the secnd half. Our OL had its worst pass rush performance of the year in the second half.
