Season Prediction

Post by Redskins4Life »

After realistically looking at are schedule the Redskins should go 11-5. If the Redskins get Jason Gildion from the free agent list then our team should go 12-4. What do you all think?

Ummm... My prediction is above .500. Also I disagree with Gildon, we don't need another LB unless we're converting to the 3-4. But we aren't as far as I know, save that money for next year and get a rookie DE. Lets prepare for the FUTURE DANNY not just the NOW!

I doubt we'll get Gildon but I'm hoping we're at least 10-6 or 11-5.

I'm reserving my prediction until after training camp. I want to see who gets all the way through without breaking a leg.

My early prediction is 10-6 and a wildcard playoff birth. Once we're in the playoffs, look out...because Joe Gibbs & Co. will not be stopped!

Gildon???? We don't need him, Barrow is a tackling machine! I'll be happy at .500 & a quarter of the penalties we had last year.

When I was referring to signing Jason Gildon, I had the intention of converting him to DE. Obviously we don't need another OLB but a DE is still a very big need.

We could use him at DE but he would cost too much. Not a bad concept, just unrealistic.

If he could come in and be converted to DE i'd consider it. but until he gets on the field he may not be worth a d*** as a DE. Too expensive for too much of a risk.

Before we start talking about wildcard births we need to go out and beat some division opponents. HOw about a win versus the cowboys and the eagles this year. After we proved we can beat some division foes, then we can think about playoffs. Im so sick of being like 2-6 in the division. last year it was like 1-7, but with the obvious changes we should be better. I think we'll be .500, maybe one game over.

I don't see the Cowgirls being an issue this year. Im forecasting an internal combustion in Philly with T.O there. I think he's going to cancer/l them out this season.
The Giants...ok  .

my season prediction will be something like this.
first we will see who the real redskins will be,i think that process has already started.then you will see some parts of the team come together really well but that process will take time during the course of the season.then as the season ends you and i will see much improvements across the board.so to put my prediction in prospective here i would say .500 or better, playoffs i think so with joe being back.

it,s starting to take shape and i,m lovin it!

I can see the Redskins going 11-5, But Jason Gildon wont become a Skin, We dont really need him and the price tag that would come with him.

DE that is the most realistic prediction I've heard all evening. I was thinking the same thing as far as our division record. I think we'll split them in half.

10-6. And the playoffs. If we get our D line fixed before the season starts 12-4.

Why is the line the last thing to bring up to snuff?

11-5 despite the intense schedule.

8-8 is probably the most optimistic, yet realistic, thing I can think of...

If Spurrier can win 7 games his first try, Gibbs can win 9.

9-7.

I believe that it all depends on the start. If we can go out and win some of those early tough games, carrying that momentum into our softer midseason schedule will really help us toward a 10-6 schedule. Otherwise, I can't see a losing season, but anything more than 8-8 or 9-7 would be a stretch.

I'm thinking somewhere between 8-8 and 10-6. Gibbs was 8-8 the first time as it took a while to pick up the system, and I expect the same thing to continue... on the other hand, I believe we would have been 8-8 with average NFL coaching last year, and Gibbs is WAY better than average! :)

I think 9-7 is a realistic mark for you guys. I don't think you'll do much better in division games, but with teams like San Fran and Chicago I'd say there's a chance at the #6 playoff spot.

We'll definitely do better in division games!! I mean, s.s. had what, 2 or 3 NFC east wins(?) in his career? Unacceptable!!
