London Fletcher

Post by wooly34 »

I know I'm usually the skeptic and have a tendency to be negative, but this is a positive post. L.F. has been the man on D since he arrived, he leads the d, helps in the community, and is an outstanding individual as far as I am aware (don't know him personally), but I applaud his effort on and off the field and feel sorry for those players that put it on the line every Sunday and get nothing in return (wins and losses).

He is the consummate pro on this team. A man who has deserved many trips to the Pro Bowl but never received one. A man who puts everything on the field, every play, every game. He's almost never missed a game, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been injured his fair share. I love the guy.

Too bad there aren't 52 others like him. :|

Agreed and I think a case could be made that he is HOF material...which brings up a interesting question..has there ever been a HOFer who never made the Pro Bowl??

If there has never been a player inducted into the HOF who has not played in a Pro Bowl then I hope that Fletcher is the first - the Pro Bowl is such a popularity contest that it could be likened to a reality TV show - we all would be better off without any reality TV show and the Pro Bowl

the Pro Bowl lost all credibility for me the year that Brady (whom I do not like) was left off the team - that to me is a huge travesty, so I hope that Fletcher does not get into a Pro Bowl because he sure as hell belongs in the HOF and who cares about that stupid selection

Fletcher is an All Pro player that is all that matters
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Fletcher cares about Fletcher getting in to the Pro Bowl; to think he doesn't is absurd. Everything I've read about him and the Pro Bowl, he tries to downplay it, but it's obvious he's frustrated about it. He deserves it and I hope he gets it this year.
...any given Sunday....

RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

GSPODS:
The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.
