New approach
I have always supported this team to ridiculous lengths. New jerseys every year, tickets, etc. From beer koozies to my B of A check card I have been like an obsessed ex girlfriend.
That was then...
Starting monday I'm no longer putting a dime into this team. They can have my support/attention but not my money until our jackass owner changes his ways.

unfortunately, i already got suckered in to buying an Orakpo jersey t-shirt... mostly because I am a huge Longhorns fan, and I needed a shirt for Orakpo, and already own one Redskins jersey, which is enough for me with their play over the last several years... but, i do agree, it is not worth the money to buy new things... however, unless a fair amount of Skins fans take this approach, I don't think DS will notice a change or feel the impact... if people stop showing up to games, that will be more noticeable... but if u have already invested money into tickets, it is too much to not show up, I would believe, unless you can sell them...
My children, gather round! No retreat, no surrender; that is Spartan law. And by Spartan law we will stand and fight... and die. A new age has begun. An age of freedom, and all will know, that 300 Spartans gave their last breaths to defend it!

As a longhorns fan myself and living in Austin currently I bought an Orakpo jersey this year too...

Going out on a limb and saying that I believe the Washington Redskins organization will survive your personal boycot, but if it makes you feel better....

/golfclap..the revenue sharing that suffers from your personal boycott wouldn't hurt MY budget, let alone a billion dollar budget.
...any given Sunday....
RIP #21 Sean Taylor. You will be loved and adored by Redskins fans forever!!!!!

The National Anthem sucks.
What a useless piece of propagandist rhetoric that is.

Im so glad people read my origional post. I don't care about my money effecting anything. I personally am at a point where I don't care as much anymore. Never said anything about how I'm starting a revolution or how my boycott would in any way effect the team.
I'm suprised the 1,000+ poster club didnt read the initial post. I thought more of you all...

Hmm. You wrote that you won't put a dime into this team until things improve. No word about not caring whether your actions (and those of many who share your view) would affect things or not. Doesn't seem to me to be an unreasonable assumption based on your first post.

I, for one, think it's a good idea not to buy tickets to Skins games. It's great if you enjoy it and want to go; I hope there are people who still love going each week. But I think it's also good idea for the fans who are dissatisfied with the whole experience to give it a miss.

ATX's point is that personal non monetary support, like a monetary hunger strike. Now if you have tickets then that's a bit different. It's ok to not spend money but to lose money, that's just silly.

I can agree with that, I have friends with season tickets and it would be kinda dumb for them to give them up after waiting so long initially just to get them. I dont know one person that can sell upper level tickets for face value right now.

I feel you folks on that.. not going to games and such will put a nice hurting (I think?). I on the other hand just can't do it. I usually can't afford to go to the games anyways so whenever I get a chance, I must go. I know I know, but what's a guy spose to do?
