The Nats could be respectable next year. A couple of free-agent pitchers ought to be easy to find given their total spend is about $45 million in salaries. They could follow the Caps.

The Skins are a different matter. Snyder is as bad an owner as George Preston Marshall was after 1945. A hopelessly incompetent owner/GM. Unless Joe Gibbs -- who could reduce Snyderism -- magically takes ten years off his age and agrees to coach again, the future is 1959...just to paraphrase George Allen.
