Harsh words from Rodney Harrison....
Did anyone else hear the comments from Rodney during a roundtable?
He said that Jcam is nothing but a 2nd string qb who was elevated to starter.... Huh? That was a pretty low blow.....

I'm not going to kill him b/c he threw a pick. I was happy he tried to force one. Did you see all notice he had a passer rating of 107.77? I'm just not going to buy into what Harrison said. Of course he's not going to strike fear in defenses. There arn't many QB's in the league that do. I would say the normal 5-7 QB's.
Campbell is no where near their level but I would put him up there in the middle to 10-15 range in talent. What he still lacks is experience. Given time under the same system, he will get better and we've seen that week in week out.
I also think the reason that we've had one WR have big stats each week is b/c the defenses we've played have shut down the guys from the previous week.

Hahahaha please. He is the qb of a team that has only scored one offensive touchdown this year against a non-prevent defense. He is clearly among the bottom third of qb's in the league.

Harrison has played against JC. I think that his evaluation has a lot of merit.

Not on the field and it is ticking me off!!!
i under stand about developing young tallent, but you should put your best 11 on the field and that includes ARE. There is no way Thomas will develope this year into a better WR than ARE and I have strong reservations about Kelly. Right now ARE is clearly our second best WR (maybe our best), but Zorn isn't playing him much now!

I'm only stating what the stat's show. Again, I think it's crazy that people blame him for other's dropped passes. Just so you know here are his updated Stats:
453 yds - 15th
68.9 % completion 6th
89.0 QB rating - 12th
226.5 yds game - 16th
Like I said, he's in the 10-15 range in QB rankings. Those are facts. Nothing made up there.

Yes. Because obviously Campbell has shown no improvement since the Pats game in 07. I mean, he's wearing the same number!

I saw El open several times, but Jcam did not throw to him. Watch that INT in front of Moss....ARE was running across wide open.
but yeah....Jcam is a starter caliber qb imo.

He was outplayed by a rookie QB! Stafford was way more impressive. I know the stats won't look like it, but he clearly was.
That pick didn't need to be forced, just thrown earlier! That is a maojor theme with JC. He throws almost every pass late! He almost screwed up that TD pass to Moss by waiting too long.
Why the heck was he throwing to

It sure would have been nice to have Mitchell on the field in that situation! Oh, wait he was inactive to activate Aldridge and he never made the field!

Stats can be manipulated anyway you want. For example, against the Giants JC had a qb rating of 72 before the scoring drive against a prevent D. Other than a couple of drives against prevent D's JC has been mediocre at best.

The lights were on but no one was home.
Kidding aside. He played well for HIS standards, but his bar is pretty darn low. Stafford straight up out played him! JC should be benched next week just for that last drive. He threw some of the dumbest passes and didn't give his team a chance to win.
Lights out. WOW! If you really believe that, you have really low expectations from that spot.
His fade throw to Kelly on the first drive didn't give him a chance to catch it. No WR makes that catch.
Stafford made the plays to get his team a win - JC didn't!!!

Like when he threw that fade out of bounds? Or when he threw a deep ball into triple coverage that should have been picked? How about the dropped pick 6? Please. Peyton Manning was lights out today, JC surely was not. For god's sake he is the quarterback of a team that HAS ONLY SCORED ONE OFFENSIVE TD AGAINST A NON-PREVENT DEFENSE!

I completely disagree with you frank, in regards to your opinion of Campbell. However, I want to thank you VERY much for the link so that I could watch the game. I couldn't get on here until about halftime, so I missed the entire first half, but from the sounds of it, I'm glad. I didn't even like the second half, but was glad that I could see it.frankcal20 wrote:I'll be more than happy to update those tomorrow then.

No prob. I have every game. To compare Manning to to JC is just crazy. He's a top 3 QB in the NFL and maybe top 5 all time depending on who you talk to.
There are a lot of teams in the NFL that would love to have JC at their starting QB position. Again, you can quote me here that he has all the tools and ability to help this team win but he can't do it all by himself. He needs the other 10 to help.
