Robert Royal.... remember him?

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Robert Royal.... remember him?

Post by tribeofjudah »

Hey guys,
Did he play WR with the Skins? That's what I remember. He is now a TE for Cleveland. Wow.

He played TE with skins.
People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....

~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.

Ok, my bad. No wonder he didn't see the field much.....COOLEY is just too good.

I believe that was WAY before Cooley's time. Somewhere between Snyder's 3rd and 4th Head coach, I believe.

Robert was drafted by the Skins in 2002 and left in 2006 (Bills). Cooley was drafted in 2004.

Additionally, while a decent receiver, his skill set is primarily that of a journeyman blocking TE. He was on the field on obvious short yardage plays, and in relief of Cooley (during that period when they overlaped) They were sort of like Donnie Warren and Clint Didier... except that Warren was a much better blocker and receiver than Royal... and Didier was not quite as prolific as Cooley.
