Our number one receiver santana moss could be a threat. It seems to me like it doesnt matter to him and he has not been making the big enough plays to help our team. has not had a positive enough impact in either the first two games and needs to step up. i am a huge fan of his but he has not done anything so far. none of the receievers have done anything and it is not campbell who is the problem. campbell has had a good first two games considering the o-line trouble and the lack of recieving plays. SANTANA NEEDS TO STEP UP

Moss needs someone that can get him the ball. JC can't throw the deep pass, which is Moss' best attribute. Moss was also wide open for a TD against the Rams that JC missed.

It may be a result of playcalling or JC's inability to connect with him, but Moss has proven he is a quality receiver. I think it is an issue more with the QB, the playcalling, and the fact that Zorn doesn't trust JC to throw past 20 yards, than it is with the WR here.

I'm not sure what games you have been watching, but JC has been underperforming this season. It is evident in the score and TDs. Besides, our OL has given him PLENTY of time in the pocket. This is undebatable. I do think playcalling has been subpar, but JC needs to make plays -- plain and simple -- he is the QB after all.

I am not against campbell but if you take a look at Santanas numbers you cannot say that it is all the QB or the playcalling. Besides I also hate the playcalling. But Santanas numbers are not where they need to be because he is a lot better than they show but he needs to start showing that and become more of a big time receiver and step up to the plate.

No, I agree that Moss' numbers are horrendous. They truly are. Personally, I believe that Moss got straight up shut down by the Giants corner. Moss doesn't like to play an at the line, physical game. And personally, that is why I have always thought he is not a #1 receiver. He just isn't. Kelly is more of a #1 than Moss.

In the Rams game, I believe that it had more to do with JC than anyone else. JC kept spotting on Cooley and ARE. He wasn't spreading the ball around --- which isn't the playcalling. I am sure that Zorn called a couple plays were Moss went out to catch a pass -- but again the playcalling did stink that entire game.

All in all, I don't think that Moss is the person we should be concerned with. He has proven his worth time and time again. I think we should be worried about the unproven guy throwing the ball to him.

It's no coincidence that Moss was the 2nd rated receiver in the league when Campbell wasn't the QB. And that was with Mark Brunell in 2005... not exactly Peyton Manning either.

Give Moss a QB that can throw.

I have been a Santana Moss fan sice he got here, but since 2006 he has been a "no show". He is a vet now, and need to be a leader and play everyplay. He takes plays of, watch him when his number is not called. He has been a "big zero" this year and last .... He has a chance to redeem himself, but we need him now is is getting "make plays now money", he is our number 1 wideut, just is not actting like one...

Yeah! Campbell needs to make sure Moss doesn't fumble the ball too! Also if any Giants cornerback muscles his way in front of Moss to intercept a ball, Campbell should sprint down the field and bat that ball away.

We need that QB to make some plays!

I have no idea what point you are trying to make. RANDY Moss had more fumbles than Santana did last season. Moss isn't a fumble machine. And are you saying that the INT was Moss' fault? On an out-route, you are not supposed to come back to the pass. That is common knowledge.

But yes, we do need our QB to make plays. That is what QBs do, after all.

Moss is not acting like a vet or true professional. He's paid already and if he's not getting the ball, do something else to help the team instead of pouting and take plays off.

Santonio Holmes has clearly established himself as the man in Pittsburgh but you don't see Hines Ward pouting and taking plays off. When Ward doesn't get the ball, he's laying somebody out with a block. Ward's better days are behind him but he's turned himself into a real pro by doing all of the other things to help his team. And he does it with that damn "smile"....

Gary Clark told me at company event at FedEx Field that it's a mindset that you have to have when you play WR. The mindset is that no one can cover you and that you will get open. So if Santana goes hard every play running his routes correctly and using his instincts to get open, he will get touches.

Stop living in the past on what he has done and look at what he is not doing now.... Instead of pouting and taking plays off, ask for more touches like returning kicks and punts occasionally instead of once a blue moon or when we are down and need a spark.

I feared early on before the season started that Moss would not be an impact as he has been in the past. I read a Washpost article documenting weight gain and Moss himself stating that he didn't work out as much this offseason because in the past he felt he overworked his body. Well he put on about 10-15 pounds of muscle...which will not help his quickness, which is his greatest attribute. I think he's out of shape, as well as Portis.
