Whaaa!!!!!

Post by roybus14 »

First Henson and now some other skin whining about criticism. I was just listening to 980 and a Redskin, sounded like Sellers, was complaining about how the media here is negative and doesn't try to boost the team up, blah, blah, blah....

GTHOHWTBS!!! Any member of this organization that is complaining about the media here needs to go down on the sideline with the cheerleaders and grab some pom-poms... I have an issue with the media here.... They are too easy on this team. None of those Redskins whining about the media wouldn't stand a chance if they played in NY, Philly or even Dallas.

This media here is scared to ask the hard questions and seem to be barred from Redskins so a couple of articles and a few jabs on the radio ain't nothing.

Grow up, win something, and play like you care...

This makes them sound like a bunch of little babies. What do they want us to do, hold their hand and tell them that everything will be just fine. The fact is they have played well below their abilities. In the real world, when that happens, there are consequences.

This is an example of what is wrong with this team. If this is the way this team faces criticism, then maybe that is why this team is the way it is.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

the whole team is a bunch of babies and that is why they dont score, are not agressive, and dont ever man-handle teams. the only players who are not wooses are portis, fletch, horton and landry the rest need to quit whining and start winning some football games

we did win i know but the second half of our schedule is tough especially in the toughest division in all of football so when we are playing better teams than the rams we are going to be forced to put points up on the board to win. and i am not talking all field goals we have to get the ball into the end zone.

Hey I'm glad so many people are crying about the fans and the media. This team plays way better with a chip on it's shoulder!

The media is funny. The TV media has kid gloves, while the radio and news print bashes and ridicules this team every chance they get!! Even something positive they try to turn negative.

Someone put Lavar on the radio knowing he had an axe to grind with Snyder and it shows. He takes every chance he gets to call the team a laughing stock and practically calls the Danny a devil if not the Devil.

I would like the fair, lovable, in your face B Mitch back on radio! At least when he is on a rant it is warranted. The two doofs on ESPN radio in the afternoon are as hard to listen to as Lavar, but at least LA has a reason to be bitter with Snyder (even if he should have been mad at his agent).

Landry should not be on that list. Chris Cooley, Rock Cartwright, and Philip Daniels should be.

Man, I'm glad you posted this. I heard Sellers on the radio this morning too with that quote. I was trying to find it online so I could post it for you - it was really embarrassing. Sellers was complaining that the media is more harsh in DC than in other areas (presumably Seattle). He actually said that in other towns, the media is there to support the team. Sorry Mike, newspapers articles are not press releases designed to cheer you on. Newspapers are for reporting WHAT HAPPENED. i.e. THE NEWS.

Yeah I'm sure the Washington Post may be tougher than the Jacksonville Messenger. But it wasn't the media out there boo'ing the team on Sunday. It hasn't been the media calling in on radio stations all week complaining about the team.

The FANS are ticked off right now. The media is just riding a good story and stoking the fire.

Thanks.... Right now they are about to run Romo out of Dallas. Just listen to Randy Galloway on XM after Czabe and Andy (Sports Reporters). Czabe said he was running to his car on Monday so that he could turn on Galloway. You got Dorsett on the radio asking who annointed Romo a superstar and hasn't done nothing.

So Mike Sellers drops a touchdown pass and now the media in this town is too harsh on this team. Once again, GTFOHWTBS!!!!! Instead of worrying about what the local media is saying, listening to the national media and how alot of them are saying that this is the week that Detroit breaks their streak...

Man up, stop whining, and play like you care.. Play with heart and enthusiasm.....

Hey Mike! Listen up 45!

I am going to let you in a little secret. Just between the two of us ...

Shhhhhhhhhhhh ... :-$

If you really want to stop the boos, let your actions, not your words, do the talking. I agree that fans MUST support the team when it is up or when it is down but ...

... stop dropping passes and I assure you that the cheers will come back real quick. How about better blocking in that play by Clinton whene we ran short of the end zone. You were a fan watching Clinton get tackled on that play!

But it is OUR secret, right? Do not make a fool of yourself arguing with the fans and their right to express themselves ANY WAY they darn want because THEY pay your salary! It is a no win situation.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Funny thing is that the media (radio wise) has us fans call in and THEY (fans) are the ones complaining. My fav. is Czaben so I try not to miss his show and he's like this; he hopes we win every game but we need to score to keep pace with teams who are known for exploding offenses. EXACTLY RIGHT! It is early so its not too late but weeks 1 & 2 (being the only games we can judge) we couldn't score a TD and how long can our defense stop teams from scoring ya know?

DEHog, my brutha please understand we do appreciate the win my man, its just very frustrating to hear players call us fans out when they are the ones that need to do something about it. Defense on the field, Fedex goes nuts, we show up for the games, we support our team by purchasing merchandise and stuff so we are doing our part ya know? I understand how you feel about the boos, I honestly do my man and I'm not saying its right at all but I booed when we did the stupid yet predictable CP stretch play (4th & 2 I believe?). Why did I boo, because I believe all NFL teams know that's our prize play for CP and they're ready for it. I also yelled at my screen because we have tall WRs now and no fade pass? I'm not Mr. Football I know, Zorn knows more than me, true that.. but good grief man, mix it up so opposing defenses are confused too.

I think that's what we are going crazy about. A win is a win though, that's all that matters. It's still early in the season for us to get back on track and Detroit is definitely a team we can come out and kick butt with. It's just scary now because we could've lost to a team who looks worse than Detroit with the Rams.

Regardless, 1-16 or 16-1 its our guys and we'll still support them!

Let me be clear here I have no problem with fans venting...I am speaking to the boos at the end of the game when victory was in hand...I don't get that...I'm hearing things like it was intented toward the organization or whatever if so why boo the players...but the play before the fans were cheering like crazy for the SKins to stop the Rams...then we take a knee...I just think fans were booing not going for a TD.

See, I really like the boo's after that game. I thought that sent a huge message. Nobody was fooled by the fact that we were lucky enough to win that game. Aside from the defense, it wasn't a good performance at any level.

I thought the boos were well deserved. Even towards some of the players.

I will never again cheer good play on their part - that's what they get paid to do!!! I will, however, boo the h*ll out of them for crappy play every chance I get.

you might want to reconsider this post  that just does not make any sense
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'm tired of the players complaining. I mean, it's completely out of line for fans to spit at them, but booing the product on the field is our right as fans. The players are disappointed too, but we're not going to powder their bottoms and cheer to boost their morale. They need to stop playing like crap first.

The players need to STFU and GBTW
