But it seems a little lengthy.
You'd have trouble fitting that in the endzone.
That's OK... the team doesn't spend much time in the end zone, anyway...

up reddin' way in Nor Cal theres lots of Wintu indians..........i love the redskins and all but more than once they pointed at me in my t shirt or jacket and......well lets just say they showed me some signs and made some negative comments that conveyed thier thoughts about the team name
Apparently no one noticed that this whole thread was started by someone who was making their first post. Obviously a blatant attempt by someone who was only trying to rile everyone up.
As for me, Wahoo McDaniels, I'm fine with the name.
Seriously, I went to a game out in Seattle about 5 years ago (maybe longer), where Shane Matthews started and the game ended with a Bruce Smith sack on Hassleback leading to a Skins win. I sat in a section with an entire Native American tribe rooting for the Skins and banging a huge drum (purely coincidental I assure you). I asked one of them if the name offended him and he said that he actually was proud of the name and they were Skins fans because of it.
Off subject, but that was actually the second best fan interaction I had at that game. The best involved an older gentleman who asked if I was from DC (noting my Skins gear). I said "yes" and that I was a season ticket holder. He then asked what I thought of Patrick Ramsey and I told him I didn't like him, not just for holding out but the fact that I wasn't sold on him as a quarterback as he looked terrible in pre-season. I then went on a diatribe about how me wasn't worth the money or the draft pick (in retrospect, boy was I wrong). As we were leaving the game he looked back and told me to be nice to him in DC as the gentleman was his uncle and the lady he was sitting with (and listening to our entire conversation) was Ramsey's wife. Well, at least she got to hear the same comments in DC for the next couple seasons.

At least you mentioned the holdout. He was such a moron for doing that rather then taking every opportunity to hit the ground running. And you want to talk about greed, some of those agents... The payoff for success is so much higher then the few extra bucks of a holdout. Particularly for a QB and when they already come out of the gate drafted where he was with the hurdle of being behind it is very hard to overcome. Every snap is critical to a rookie like that. And Ramsey was borderline enough it could have made a difference.

or we can call them Washington Warriors and keep the same uniforms? Heck, I don't know. We'll all still call um the Redskins or Skins anyways.

If the name was changed, I think I would think very hard about staying on board. It's like the Bullets. Who wants to chear for a team called the Wizards?
Miss you 21
