The other side around the stories relating to Chase and Colt is that ...
... we are stuck with Jason and Todd for the rest of the season injuries or no injuries, performance or no performance, OL or no OL. Woodson is unlikely to be ready to start this season.
Talk about a big decision ... if we are going to jump off the plane on a brand new season a week from now, I hope these parachutes work well.

Have faith my Friends.....Zorny knows what he's doing.

We could always claim Chase off the NO practice squad, if we needed him to start a game, anyway.

Woow !!! a touch of genuis! Why did I not think of that?
Which begs the question of course: if he EVER was expected to start, why did they sign a different 3rd QB?
But hey! Why would I know? Maybe we are using the PS of other teams as secret weapons to hide our real roster.

It's the Practice Squad... It's the 3rd QB... it's a guy that gets to dress like a NFL QB on Sunday and that's it. Sometimes he actually will have real responsibilities but almost never on Sunday.
It's PRACTICE Squad folks, PRACTICE Squad, we talking about PRACTICE Squad.

Exactly. Thank you.
Well, except for the dressing on Sundays part.

His being put on IR this year certainly gives him a chance, but you're not being realistic. It was a major slap at his chances with us long term, there is no other way to interpret it. IR means gone for the year. If they had more confidence in him they'd want him available this year. Not only were they willing to just write him off for the year but this means we'll be trying to find other QBs now. This is a clear "you have one year to show you belong here or you're gone."

I think they've seen all they needed to see
Why IR 'em then...why not just injury settle and call it a day?
It was time to trim the roster and the settlement has to be agreed to by both parties. Brennan shouldn't have a problem with agreeing but the the Skins have to consider cap implecations

Just to be clear, so you're agreeing with my saying:
kaz wrote:you're not being realistic. It was a major slap at his chances with us long term
I agree with you that it's possible they only want an injury settlement and haven't nailed it down. But having even a marginal QB in the offseason training and camp next year even if you're thinking it's over isn't a bad thing to have. And it does give him a chance to prove he belongs. All I'm saying is either is possible. But my main point you seem to be agreeing with is his long term with us is seriously in doubt or they wouldn't have made this move.

Seems to me that we have Campbell and Collins and neither Brennan or Daniels showed the potential to be a really good QB - the search continues ....
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
ARE YOU INSANE???!!! Booty ALWAYS trumps everything else...especially a PS QB.
Who are you, and what did you do with REDEEMEDSKIN???
