Post by JonEJetsters »

I am not on here by no means defending the Jets....we lost to you....we have our own problems.

Coles......I am waiting for the "real" outburst!! That is "emotional outburst!" LaTurd has been a non factor lately!!

Morton......No scheme....average at best without Westoff(the Jets special teams coach) 3rd down back??? Bwahahahahahaa

Thomas.......Haven't been watching him......but c'mon...Ramsey is getting killed....he has to be at least partly to blame!!

Hall.....Doing well, I guess......but are'nt you biting your nails before every kick?

Jets starting to get their sh*t together....and will be a team to deal with come the 2nd half of the season!

Boy...it feels better finishing strong, rather than starting strong!! <cough>
Coles.....Dead
Thomas....Dead
Hall......Dead
Morton....Dead
Spurrier..Fu*k Him

My, what an uniformed post from the Jets fan... allow me to retort:

Morton - awesome! Hasn't broke one for a TD yet... but he is getting great returns every time. our ST is the ONLY thing to IMPROVE over the last 3 weeks.

Thomas - you ASSUME because of our line woes that Thomas MUST be part of the problem. You are wrong... he is playing the best of the 5 of them BY FAR. Our other starting G is out and we have a rookie playing which is not helping cohesiveness.

Coles - While he hasn't been AS good the last 2 weeks... he's still 2nd in the NFL (behind Randy Moss' 666 yards) in yards with 631. If you add Santana Moss' 363 and Conway's 247... you get 610 yards... so as long as Coles has more yards than your TOP TWO WRs... I wouldn't be spouting.

Hall - thanks for the average leg... we appreciate his averageness... I think he has 4 50+ yard FGs, and he hasn't missed from inside 40. I don't need to bite my nails... he's automatic.... but you already know that...

As for starting great vs. finishing great... are there only 6 games in your season? There's 9-10 games to go dude. I know you're going to get pennington back and make a solid run... so why were you all crying like schoolgirls after ONE GAME?

Thanks for checking back... I hope that when we win a Mickey Mouse game the week before, that our fans respond like you have... with a bloated sense of achievement.

They know we are down right now - so why not kick us when we are down?

Jon - we beatcha - go back to your board and keep sulking. If we end up 3-13 and you end up running the table - keep it in mind that you couldn't take us :)

Annoyed

The problem is not as much the players as it is George Edwards. I have never seen someone allow the same things to happen week in and week out without at least attempting different defensive schemes. This guy drives me crazy. I know that are players need to stick to their assignments but when you don't practice for what an offense is going to bring to you...how do you expect our guys to be prepared. What happened with 3 TE sets this week? One other thing...if I see a smile on another player after we lose a game I am going to vomit. Do you think there were any smiling Cowboys week 1 under Parcels...Spurrier needs to light some fires. If you dont care about winning then get the hell out of Washington and stop ruining something I deeply care about.

Agreed. At this point, if we don't get the type of production....errrr...hustle that these "professionals" should be providing, then sit their asses on the bench and let them stew for a while; Stars, Starters, etc. SOS needs to take a stand for once.

Say what you will, pussells doesn't give a sh*t what his players think of him, or how they react to his "demeaning" style. In the NFL this mangagement philosophy is what overpriced and over-coddled players appear to understand.

Sometimes... Marty had mixed results in DC with the same demeanor... and is experiencing little success in SD.

I think a good balance of RESPECT and FEAR is the difference between a Parcells and Marty. Even Gibbs who is night and day different from Parcells, had both R & F. The players don't question buying into Parcells philosphy - maybe winning Super Bowls is the swing vote.

Spurrier needs to chew some high-priced player ass.....and then some. Where is the fire and motivation? Talent alone doesn't cut it in this league and lesser teams with confidence will prevail....look at the pukes, panthies and chiefs. Not one of those teams is head & shoulders above the Skins in talent levels, yet they're kicking ass.

Anyone see the Raiders give up last night with a back-up at QB and down by 14 and having just turned the ball over on a punt? Hell no. Why do the Skins give up, particularly defensively. It seems to me that everytime our opponent even scores, our defense starts playing soft and gives up either a big play or a long grueling drive that deflates them for the rest of the game.....pathetic. And as I've said too much, it starts from the top.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
