I don't mind that this will happen. I think it makes the football season a little more interesting. Favre makes the Vikes far more interesting to watch verses Sage or Jackson starting for them. Quite a few of their games have just become more interesting. It will make for good drama and TV for this season.
I know some are annoyed with Favre's indecision over the past few years, but I believe much of that frustration was fueled by the media, since their producers had them talking about it every damn day. I know it directly stemmed from Brett changing his mind a few times, but the majority of the annoyance, at least in my opinion, stemmed from the media having nothing else to talk about and cramming Brett down our throats... every damn day. All they had to do is say that Brett may come back, and then leave it alone until he actually does. But no, every media outlet in existence had to offer a microanalysis on an every day basis. Members of the media would say... "we're so sick of Brett." No... you're just sick that your producers made you talk about it every day.

Just yesterday Warren Sapp was saying on NFLN how he and Brett are such good friends, and Favre is definitely not coming back. I was saying to myself, "why are we still hearing about this? Didn't he say he was staying retired a month ago?" Then I got to thinking about how he would want to skip training camp if he did come back. What a turd.

Brett is set to damage his legacy with the Parker fans...for what..1 more year.
Rich Eisen just said it was a great day for the NFL becuase he could end up winning the SB...How bout this Rich the last two season ended with him throwing a pic...maybe this time it will be in GB while he wearing purple!
I wish Mario, Elway or Montana would call him and tell him this is a bad idea.
Could you imagine Darrell Green or Joe Gibbs running out of the tunnel at FedEd with the Cowboys??

Concur. The man has no soul.
I also think that, before the season is done... this will be Sage's team.

I defended him all last year for playing for the Jets. I didn't see why he had to stay retired just because he'd retired under pressure to make a decision and then the Pack tried to force him to not play for them or anyone else.
But then retiring again, flirting with coming back again, saying he's not going to again, then coming back again? He is pathetic. Go to it, I won't be defending him this year.
I think the Vikings got a guy who's still a great QB though even if he is a self absorbed publicity craving narcissist. I told you I wasn't defending him this year.
