Investation? Is that a cross between an investigation and an infestation?

Yeah, that's the reputation we need as fans. . .

How about filling the seats with loyal fans as opposed to fist-fights when we can't?

Yeah, that really bothered me last year, when all the Steeler fans were in our house for that Monday night game. You know what's hilarious about P-burgh fans though? They're always talking about how great it is in P-burgh, but yet all of them have transplanted to DC and other areas where there are jobs. And then they'll tell you they're "everywhere." God I hate the Steelers. Go Skins!

Who wants to go to a night game at FedEx? The game gets over past midnight on a Monday then you have to sit in the parking lot for two hours just to get out. Best case your home by 3 am if you live close to the stadium. Last time I went to a MNF game I did not get back to Philly until 5 am. If I still had my season tickets I would sell the night games to whoever buys them. It is hard to stop the opposing team from buying tickets just like I do when the Skins are playing the Eagles here in Philly.

You want this nonsense to stop? Convince The Danny to build a new stadium in DC along a Metro line instead of off the beltway in the middle of no where.

I'm not condoning fighting but there is a reason why opposing fans tend to stay away from games in Oakland, Philly, and the Meadowlands.

I believe a better course for action is to bring your ST21 burgundy towel, wave as any steeler fan would but be sure to be close. that way it will look B&G towels waving instead of just canary yellow

Yeah, and that justifies it, eh? If you want to fight over a spectator sport then go right ahead. I personally don't see a reason to fight at a football game.

I'll tell you what though.. I don't mind the steeler infestation.. I mean, we in the DC area have to deal with the cowboy fans, I'd rather deal with the steelers fans instead, at least most of them have class. I'm also biased because I work with so many steeler fans who are from Pitt area but regardless.. give me a steeler fan over a cowpunk fan anyday. In the end though, screw um both.. GO SKINS!!!!

That idea of the #21 towel being waved is the best I've heard. I think someone else said it last year, Danny shoulda been passing out those ST towels at EVERY home game.

Cleg,
FedEx IS right next to the Metro! It roughly a mile walk or about twice what someone in the Green lot would walk to get back to their car.

If it takes you two hours to get out of the parking lot, you need to re-evaluate where you park. It has never taken me more than 45 minutes. If I park at what used to be the cash lots I can be home (Mechanicsville) in an hour and a half and that includes a 45 minute walk to the "cash" lot, which is further than the subway.

FedEx is not out in the middle of no where. I am baffled by all of the people that complain about a stadium that is inside of the capital beltway as being out in the middle of no where and hard to get in and out of. Those people need to find alternate routes! Heck if the stadium was downtown it would take you longer to get back to Philly! FedEx is on the north side of DC, you should be able to make it in 3.5 hours. That is an hour to get out of the stadium and on 214 then and 2.5 hours to get from 214, to 301N, to 3n, to 97N, to 695, 895, 95. OR any number of other routes that totally avoid the beltway!

If you are stuck on, or waiting to get, on the beltway after a game you deserve to be stuck! Moving the stadium downtown would add time to most people getting home (except maybe you Northern Va smucks).

Hey, I like NoVa! But I bet you feel like a schmuck after games facing either going through DC or around the Beltway.

I have to dissent on your opinion of Steeler fans. I hate going in to work on Monday morning seeing that smug smile on their face after a Steelers win and Redskins loss. They are first to show up at my door in that situation, but when it is reversed, they scatter like cockroaches when the light is turned on. If Pitts-Burgh is so great then I wish they all would go back home. I hope somehow, someway, the Stealers fall flat this year and go 1-15.

Most Steelers fans are Morbidly obese jolly ol rednecks. They come in hords yes but thats because they have an awesome team. DC happens to be a melting pot area. If you try to be a fighter at Fedex, your fighting a losing battle, especially in the club level. I say just let them wave thier towels.

If you really want a fight, I used to leave the stadium 10 minutes early and catch Philly fans messing with cars. That to me has and always will be free game.

Don't understand the hostility boss. I parked in the red lot - maybe two hours was an exageration, more like an hour and forty-five minutes. A mile walk to the Metro does not qualify as close. There should be a Metro stop in the parking lot which there would be if it were in the city.

So, I would drive from Philly to a satellight parking lot off the 95 corridor somewhere, get on the train and go to the stadium. Watch the game, get on the train back to the car in be home in a couple hours max.

Stadiums are better off in the city for inumberable reasons but the access to transportation is the biggest.

Cleg,
I just get fed up with people whining about the stadium being hard to get in and out of. You were just the proverbial straw. i really didn't mean for it to seam like I was attacking you, just the fallacy that FedEx is hard to get in and out of!
By the way RFK didn't have a subway in the parking lot and it was in the city (but of course so is FedEx - anything inside the beltway is inside the city in my book) The walk to FedEx is longer than the walk to RFK, but the drive to and from FedEx is much easier than RFK.
It isn't like Foxboro which I hear is the worst in the league to get in and out of (never been there so I could say for sure). The Raven Stadium is a pain in the arse. And I bet the Meadowlands was just horrid (not even in NY). I have heard the new Giants stadium will have a subway stop on site, but I still can't figure out how you tailgate with out a tailgate!
